When married he had a NYC security detail along for his trips to see his mistress far from the city. All of their expenses including $300+ hotel rooms were charged to the city.

scottyurb - I don't know about you but I've never stayed in a $300 hotel room. I've spent many a night on my expense account for what I consider a luxury hotel for much less money.

He should definitely do something. Staying silent on the issue will only fortify his already slim chances of being the next representative of BushCo. Paying back the city out of his own pocket may restore some dignity to his campaign, but based on his past actions he's already shown the country that he is not resiliant enough to even consider doing the right thing.

If he had hotel rooms for personal purposes, yes any personal expenses should be reimbursed to the city. However, if he needed police protection during the times when he was with his mistress, he should not have to repay those expenses. My reasoning is that he would be entitled to police protection 24/7 no matter where he went and with whom.
