to get her son back so we could have our "family". Once she got her son back and the $1500 was gone, she decided that she didnt want to be with me anymore. My question is since she feels that she doesnt have to pay that $1500 back becasue we were together at the time and it was considered "our" money, Is there any legal way to get that back from her in any way?

I was just wondering if anybody knew what happened with the whole iPhone issue going over in congress, as I had heard that some senators were upset over the fact that the iPhone was only working with 1 carrier (at&t), and were perhaps going as far as to consider it "unconstitutional". I was considering using the iPhone legal disputes for my moot court tryouts on tuesday and am just trying to see if there's really anything to work with.

Thank you for your time.

My Role in Honoring America’s Veterans
A man wakes up in his cozy bed on a regular Sunday morning. He gets ready and reads the newspaper. Later he gets in his car, turns on some music and goes to church. That man just experienced something that millions of people will never be able to. He experienced the Freedom of the Press, the Freedom of Speech, and the Freedom of Religion. In many third world countries, people are restricted, not given freedoms.
America has freedom, something for which Americans can never be thankful enough. We get used to being free and doing what we want. Who can we thank for this freedom?
Since America was found, we have had fifty million men and women serve in the military. Right now, over twenty-five million veterans are still alive. There are many veterans, and we, as individuals, should honor them. They are our heroes, no matter what they say. They risked their lives.
Americans take everything for granted. One thing that almost all of us lac

Firstly I am not Carolyn, she's my partner and we're using her login.

When I was 18 and my daughter was 1, she was 'taken' into custody by her maternal grandmother. For the past 12 years I've paid child support but have continually been denied any form of visitation or access by the grandmother.

I now live in Queensland and my daughter is in Darwin. The child's mother and I have not been together since that time. She does not pay child support nor does she have a relationship with our daughter.

This has never been through the court system and paternity has never been verified. Rather this situation is the result of my youth, inexperience and financial vulnerability at the time.

I would like to know whether I have any rights to custody, and what my options are regarding child support. I'd also like some advice regarding legal aid/representation. Things are becoming rather confusing as my partner and I are expecting our first child in January 2008.

Being that DEA regulates medications prescribed by your doctor how much do you think the DEA knows about your personal life? I would imagine that quite a bit could be learned about a person by the medication prescribed to them. Has anybody ever considered this?

Ok, I will try to make this long story short. I was married we had a child. He then started to steal my money and use drugs all day. Totally changed and didnt work was a getting trouble with the law and so forth. We did get a divorce. The judge didnt give him any rights to our child because of his history. Now 3 years later his mother wants to see the child. The mother is writing letters to me and there are not nice ones at that. She use to talk to the child then would sneak her father on. Our child now has issues. She holds her self from going to the bathroom everytime she hears their names. I got a letter now stating the the grand mother wants my child to visit her, we do live in diff. states. She has stated she has been around the house and said she will do anything at cost to get her. She calls all the time and wants to talk to the child, the letters dont stop. I want to put a restaining order on her. Will the courts let me? DO we have to appear in court? How does this work?

So I noticed there is a Bullfighting page. Why? IDK. Sounds dumb right? And cruel. Bullfighting is mean. And then I got to thinking.... our governments are wrong in one HUGE thing- our prison system. We have to pay taxes to keep these barbarians fed and the overcrowded jails running. What's more, crime, while it will never stop, never slows down, no matter what we do.

So.... heres the trick!
Lets ban bullfighting, and bring back gladiatorial combat! Bring back the retarius, murmillo, thracian, secutor, hoplomachus, etc. You know, lets free up the overcrowded jails and finish these death-row criminals for good. Maybe now, future-criminals will think " oh sh*t I better not rob that 7/11 or I could end up not trying to get my balls shanked off" I don't believe in second chances with these filth, and if they are convicted of such henious crimes ( like rape- murder), why not make their last moments hell? Maybe we can even introduce modern weapons, you know? Like Tasers and shock battons?

Ok. I went to apply for a new job. My background check came back that there was a warrant out for my arrest. I have some unpaid tickets. Where would I begin to get this taken care of without really turning myself in? I want to resolve this but jail time is not an option. Anybody out there know where I should start?
I need some advice please.

I am thinking of moving to Florida from Pennsylvania and want to know what legal obstacles I have to go through, if any, reguarding my 5 year old son. His father is in the Marines and pays child support, etc. but there is no custody agreement. He has been a part of our lives on and off for the past year but we have no future together and there's no knowing what he would try to do to get back at me since I do not want to be with him. The idea of me being charged with kidnapping had come to my attn. by a friend and I had never thought of that before now. Is there anything I need to do make sure I am doing everything legally in this matter?

If this person is so intent of giving money away why not return to his own country where a huge number of sports clubs or deserving institutes would be glad to receive some needy assistance. Why go to Africa [a bottomless pit] and give it to those who already get assistance to waste.

My father-in-law signed a contract with a lawyer over a dispute with probate of his father's estate. The lawyer froze all assets that were in probate. My father-in-law passed with no will. He had no property and all assets were used to pay for his final expenses. He really has no estate and nothing went to probate. Is the contract still valid? If the contract states that the attorney is still owed money who has to pay for that? How do we get the funds in probate released?

yesterday i got a speeding ticket, and the cop immediate called me stupid among other things. I didn't say anything rude to make the cop disrespect me. I should not have been braking the law, but all that i expect him to do is dish out the punishment and let me be on my way. When he went back to his car i set my phone to record video. then he comes back with the tickets in hand, and i got him on tape callin me an idiot, and that he wishes he i would've gone a lil faster so he would've gotten more on me.

HIS greeting was "what's up dawg"
every once in a while he blinded my eyes with his flashlight as a joke.
He also made a stupid comment about buying groceries at 1:00 in the morning.

Do i have anything on this policemen?

I bailed my girlfriend out of jail for 4,100 dollars with my own credit card. Now we are broken up and she refuses to pay more than minimum payments while she has a new expensive car loan and high insurance which equals 600 dollars a month. Also will minimum payments hurt my credit score?
