Bullfights, Criminals, and Governments : Come one answerer, come all!?

So I noticed there is a Bullfighting page. Why? IDK. Sounds dumb right? And cruel. Bullfighting is mean. And then I got to thinking.... our governments are wrong in one HUGE thing- our prison system.We have to pay taxes to keep these barbarians fed and the overcrowded jails running. What's more, crime, while it will never stop, never slows down, no matter what we do.

So.... heres the trick!
Lets ban bullfighting, and bring back gladiatorial combat! Bring back the retarius, murmillo, thracian, secutor, hoplomachus, etc. You know, lets free up the overcrowded jails and finish these death-row criminals for good. Maybe now, future-criminals will think " oh sh*t I better not rob that 7/11 or I could end up not trying to get my balls shanked off" I don't believe in second chances with these filth, and if they are convicted of such henious crimes ( like rape- murder), why not make their last moments hell? Maybe we can even introduce modern weapons, you know? Like Tasers and shock battons?

We already DO have gladiatorial combat in the U.S. Take NASCAR, for instance. The only reason all those stupid rednecks show up in the crowd is for the chance to see a big crash where somebody is likely to become dismembered (what, and all this time you thought they just come to see traffic going around in circles?)

Good idea in theory -- and probably effective in practice -- but it's constitutionally prohibited (in the US) by the 8th Amendment.
