Law & Ethics - October 2007

My husband and his father purchased a house. My husband was married to his ex when he purchased the house. All three of them (my husband, his father and the ex-who was his wife at the time) were put on the deed. Only my husband and his father were on the mortgage.
When they divorced- my husband was awarded the house. He lived there for about 2 years and then when we decided to get married we moved. When we moved his ex asked if she could buy the house for the same amount my husband had purchased it for a few years earlier. We agreed. My husband signed a quit claim to her. We let her move in with the arrangement that she would have a few months to get it financed and out of my husband and his father's names. My husband's father never signed the quit claim.
Being that my husband's father never signed the quit claim deed, is it still valid?
I am asking because now a year later, she still hasn't financed the house and we are weighing our legal options.

I am a single mother and my daughter is going on 4 years old. Her dad is not in her life nor would I want him to really be. He walked out of her life when we split when she was only a year and 1/2 and has never looked back. He does nothing to support her and has no finacial stability at all. He bounces from place to place living off of other people. He's in and out of jail, lies, cheats, steals and is just not someone I would want to have much influence on my child...I mean our child. He' a con-artist, nothing more, nothing less.

Anyway I was just wondering what I can do to ensure my daughter goes to my parents, sister or a close friend if something were to happen to me. What do I need to do?

As Greenhouse notes in the attached article, "The question lies at the intersection where the two religion clauses of the First Amendment meet: the protection for the “free exercise” of religion and the prohibition against the official “establishment” of religion. I live next to a convicted felon. his step son recently broke into my work shop and stole tools from me. Now he is acting in a very violent manner towards me and my family,taunting, threats of violence. Is there anything I can legaly do to protect my famliy.

My ex boyfriend seems like obessed with me. i told him many times we are over but he was keeping calling my house and stalking me. One day i woke up i saw him in my room. Then my sister got scared and called police on him. I wanted to know what will happen to him. if he bails out right away and if he goes to court is there jail time for that. i think he needs some treatment about his obession. I do care about him but other side scare of him too. i really hope that he gets a court order rehab class or something. he has to know what he did was wrong. can someone can tell me what action i should do.
i don't want to put him for jail for long time. but i think he needs treatment to forcing is not gonna work. please help me.

Due to an advice from almintak in the previous answer, I had to edit the former question.

I made a verbal arrangement with a so called web application developer in India to build a website for me and I did made ad upfront payment of $1000 USD. He claimed to have done half the job and when I consulted the work, it was unsatisfactory and he do not want to make refund of my upfront payment. he do not even reply to my mails. whicg effective internet crime report center can I use to file in a report? the website for this developer is www.nicoletech.com and my suppose site is www.noonly.com.

How can an employer demand that employees be bilingual? I applied for a job and one of the testing requirements is that you pass the written test with a 60% or greater to be considered. Half of the test was in Spanish. I just don't understand this discrimination in U.S.

There was no justice in why I got fired. My boss was very provocative and I thought he was kidding. When I joked back with him, he sent me home..Indiana is an "AT will state" meaning you can be fired for just about anything, but I guess I just want some honesty and integretity to come out of all of this. need help what to do ...

im married and my husband don't know that it not his baby since i was sepeated with him for while and we went back together cuz he think it his baby and i didn't want to leave my husband cuz i love my husband so much to death and we been together thought my preg and he went to hopital with me and he notice that my baby is " dark " skin we are light skin and he didn't say anything but he love my daug very much and we had son he is 4 months

the thing is that i want to get my ex guy to pay child support and my baby got my last name not my ex last name and i don't know if i should get that guy to pay child support and if i do my husband will leave me for lieing to him that is not his baby .....and also my ex baby father don't want to pay child support and he has 2 other kids and didn't know he had ohter kids so he don't want to pay child support and he dont want anything to do with my daug .... he think he can get away with anything ....

what should do
