My ex boyfriend seems like obessed with me. i told him many times we are over but he was keeping calling my house and stalking me. One day i woke up i saw him in my room. Then my sister got scared and called police on him. I wanted to know what will happen to him. if he bails out right away and if he goes to court is there jail time for that. i think he needs some treatment about his obession. I do care about him but other side scare of him too. i really hope that he gets a court order rehab class or something. he has to know what he did was wrong. can someone can tell me what action i should do.
i don't want to put him for jail for long time. but i think he needs treatment to forcing is not gonna work. please help me.

Do not contact him in any way, this will send him mixed messages, and he will continue his stalking. It will also make it difficult to pursue charges in the future.

I agree a psycholigical assessment may be in order. A lenghty probation instead of jail may solve the problem, as he will not be allowed to contact you. You should be allowed to have input into his sentencing.

No one likes rejection and he apparently took this hard. This will very likely pass with time.

His life was probably pretty grim when you left him, he needs closure, and you sure havent been giving it to him.
Youve probably crushed his self esteem, and he is mentally not able to move on, hes afraid to.
If he feels like you didnt give him a fair chance, and then sees you with someone else and treating them great, it would have just crush him inside.
Putting him in jail and embarrassing him is no going to help, not only does he question himself, but now hes a criminal.
The best thing you can do is to be his friend, thats what he really needs. Hell end up killing himself if people just throw him away, he needs to feel like hes not worthless.
Hes probably been degraded by others most of his life, its not his fault or your fault. You can help him more than anything else can, because he cares for you. He needs positive reinforcement so he can move on.
Just remember, as long as you treat him like a decent human being he will act much more like a decent human being.
The thing is that hes going to have alot of resentment about what happened, so dont give up if he brings it up. Tell him your sorry and then go on treating him like a friend and it will go away quickly and youll have a friend that would do anything for you.
Definitely dont just leave him alone, the hurt and resentment will turn into bad things.

Feel free to throw me an email through my profile. Id like to hear what kind of background he has, it would really help me figure out what caused this.

Get a restraining order, while this is no actual use in protecting you, it gives you better standing in court if you have to prosecute him.

You're both idiots. Just let it be and get away...
