Did you call the police about your break in? Have you filed a complaint? If so, speak to the officer who handled the break in about your neighbors threats.
If you have not yet contacted the police about the break in, that should be your next act. Let the investigating officer know of the threats from your neighbor.
Do not allow this man to intimidate you or your family. Install better locks on your work shop and home, come and go as you would normally. And keep the police involved. This man does not want to tangle with the law again, I guarantee it. Let him know that you will not hesitate in seeing that you, your family, and your property are protected.
I stress again....report this to the police. A police cruiser in your driveway will be effective.

Did you report the robbery to the police? Hopefully you did.
You can get a restraining order against them. It is quite an easy process. Your local police department can help you through the process. It would not hurt to send a letter to your local county attorney's office and complain about it as well.
Is the son of the convicted felon a minor? You may want to alert child protective services about this child's behavior, it could be that something going on in the family is the cause of his acting out. I would definitely ask them to check out this kids home situation as well.
Put up no trespassing signs. If he steps on to your property and refuses to leave call the police each and every time. But still get the restraining order, that is really important.

Unless the convicted felon is a sex offender, the landlord has no obligation to inform you otherwise. Sex offender laws require registration of address, which is usually available on line in most states. If you have children the landlord is required by law to inform you of the tentant's criminal conviction as a sex offender. Also most courts now have an online name search for civil or criminal cases, once you have the case name and number, anyone can go to the court house and view the file to see what its all about. Yeah, a lot of extra work maybe, but at least you know then.

Absolutely! You need to document his behavior, video, tape recorder, mark it on a calendar, etc. Let him know that your are recording his behavior. I would also contact your local police department and file a complaint. If these people rent, you need to contact the owner of the property. Maybe file a restrainng order. Best of luck.

It depends which Country you live in
for a start ?
And for two -I do not see the factor of
the father being a convicted felon should
come into it.
You should try speaking to him and asking
him to get his son to stop.
And tell him if he cannot get him to stop -
you will have to invlove the Police and get
a restraining order or whatever they
are called , against him.
