my boss treats people so badly that many people are quitting or she is firing them and so therefore we are understaffed and now she is telling us that the rest of us must put in extra shifts for the next month or so until she gets new people hired. Are we at risk of losing our jobs if we refuse to put in overtime? can we legally be fired for not putting in overtime?......no smartass remarks please ..im looking for people who know the law and can give me a more legal perspective.

I think we could, if not end, at least get rid of some of the national debt be legalizing prostitution. think about it, let the hookers open up cat houses across the country and let the govt tax them. think about all the horny fat guys out there that cant get laid. now think about how much the govt can make on taxing these" establishments". if the govt taxed 30% of the takings then think about how much they could be getting when the girls are making 100+ and hour. think about it

"if Michael Vick had been arrested for abusing women instead of dogs, he'd still be on the football field today. He'd still have the love and adoration of his fans. And, yes, he'd still have his Nike deal." The numerous NFL players who've survived charges of violence against women, including the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' Lionel Gates (arrested on burglary, criminal mischief, and aggravated battery charges after an altercation with a pregnant woman in March) and Michael Pittman (a repeat domestic-violence offender who finally served time for aggravated assault after intentionally ramming his Hummer into a car carrying his wife and 2-year-old son). "It makes not a lick of sense," said sportswriter Don Yaeger to the Sentinel. "Why are we less concerned about [former Dolphins player] Lamar Thomas, who kept right on playing even though he shoved his pregnant fiancée's head through a window, than we are about Michael Vick?

For example, say I did something wrong. Say it's using bots on an online game. The rules never said anything about not using bots. I point this out to the game owner, and he changed it! Then, he bans me from the game. Is this legal? If not, I would like a source. If it is, I would like a link the the laws of the United States.

Now i used to buy it when I had the full resources to get it for free in seconds because i beleived it was wrong to do na dif your christian stealing is a sin and it violates the ten commandments. However now i have come to the realization that you can not put a price on a sound and that once that aound was created it was then free for anyone to posses. If you steal a CD then that is wrong because you are stealing a product that costed money to make, but going onto the internet and downloading noise is not stealing. Music was once always purchased because in order to get it to people you needed to manufacture resources to get it to the people, which costs miney but now music is free and is morally right to obtain for free by downloading from the web. Who agrees with me.

I DONT MEAN THOSE WHO CONSIDER IT STEALING BUT JUST DONT CARE EITHER WAY. I MEAN THOSE WHO BELEIVE IT IS MORALLY RIGHT.

I missed 2 payments on an account while I was out of state with my dying mother. When I returned home and realized the payments were late I called the creditor and was told it had been turned over to collections. Out of the blue an "attorneys office" called and said I had 24 hours to make a payment or a warrant for "theft by conversion would be issued". I offered to mail them a payment or send it western union, but they said it had to be electronic check, and that if I didnt open a checking account on the next day and give them my info. by noon that they would file this "theft charge" against me. Can they do this???

Okay here is my story.. I went out with this guy and now it's over. I called th ecops on him for harrassment and he went to jail and now I have a no contact/protective order. We have this friend(girl) who use to talk to both of us. and now I have stopped talking to her all together. I found out that she slepted with him while we were dating and that maybe I have this funny feeling that she is still talking to him. But anyway I told her things about my life and now that he is no longer in my life. I told her that I met this other guy and that I went to anothe rstate to see him. Bu tthat was all lies. I did that to see if she would open up her mouth and tell people. I even told her how I felt about my ex that went to jail. I donot trust her! That is why I no longer talk to her. Before this guy went to jail I thought I was preganant and let him know that. But I am not. But I made this girl believe it because I was lit for her sleeping w/ him. can they use these things against me in court?

Be honest. I want to know how you would react if you replace Senator Craig's name with a liberal.

I think Sen. Craig was most likely looking for a perverted time, but I don't think he technically broke any legitimate laws, and I don't think any liberals would chastise another liberal for doing the exact same thing.

The accident was not my fault, the other person's insurance paid my medical bills (we weren't hurt), but my car was totaled. They paid part of my car loan but there was $3800 left owing on the loan. I am screwed or can I sue the driver of the car for the difference in what was paid and what was owed.

We didn't have gap insurance! We are struggling just to pay our necessary bills and don't have this money lying around. I don't think we should be responsible. Anyone know of anything I could do?
