My husband never gets any kind of paperwork to show what they took out, we are never even sure if he gets paid for extra hours. He gets no statement at all.

Interesting question since I live in Arkansas. I don't know about check stubs, however, there should be paperwork of some sort telling what wages, hours worked, taxes, SS and such were used to formulate the check. I have always gotten a checkstub.

No. I live in Arkansas and work for the state. I haven't had a check stub in over 10 years. The State of Arkansas only pays employees through direct deposit. You can view your account using AASIS,

I would assume so, but haven't specifically found anything.

If you are the employer, it would at the least be unethical not to provide them.
