o.j was arrested because the evidence against him was overwhelming. mark furman was the cop who was in charge. OJ said furman set him up. we said BS furman was asked on the witness stand, did you plant evidence? "no" did you tamper with evidence? no. lying under oath is a crime. planting and tampering with evidence is a crime. the 5th amendment is asserted so that you don't have to incrimminate yourself in a crime. when furman was asked a 2nd time, under oath, instead of saying "no" to all the questions again, he asserted his 5th amendment privelege. so when asked, "when i asked you the last time you were here if you planted evidence and you said no, did you lie?" by taking the 5th he really answered "i can't answer that because if i say yes then i will go to jail for purjury, and if i say no, i think you may have evidence that i did and i will commit purjury now" don't you think the jury wondered why he just didnt say no again? why didn't he say no again? maybe because he DID?

I know you have to be 18 to buy cigarettes, but what happens if a cop sees you smoking under that age? Could a 12-year-old get in trouble if they were caught smoking?

All it does it breed violence and hopelessness in prisons. Those who do change their lives for the better are condemned forever without hope. What a violation of Jesus's teachings. I believe those who are hopeless and heinous should just be executed. Those who are mad should be institutionalized until their condition improves. No one should stay in prison for life without parole, it's a heat-of-the-moment judgment that ignores the fact that people can change for the better. OJ hasn't killed anyone in 12 years, and he was arguably guilty.

Here's another point, why are governments allowed to invade other countries and kill other people, but gang bangers here sentenced to 20 years or more for their own wars? It's a tad hypocritical, isn't it? No wonder prison is a nightmare.

I want to complain about International Imports fraud retailing with single women. Taking advantage of a sales situation. Selling one thing and delivering a lesser item. Then refusing to cooperate when confronted. Actually threatened to call the police, this is over the phone mind you. No problem, my bank srands behind me and that's the way it is until the case is closed one way or the other.

I have seen on this site as well as others Americans saying Britain doesn't have a crime rate. so i thought i'd investigate. The results were a big surprise to me.

Murder rate:(per 100,000 population, national averages for all categories)
US- 6.9
UK-2.01

Rape
US-32.2
UK-39.1

Assault
US-340.1
UK-1862

Burglary
US-814.5
UK-1677

Robbery
US-195.4
UK-384

Vehicle crime
US-526.5
UK-2061

To summarise: Your roughly 3.5 times more likely to be murdered in a US city than a UK city. Rape is only slightly higher for the UK. BUT.......

Your.... nearly 5.5 times more likely to be assaulted in a UK city
More than twice as likely to be burgled in a UK city
nearly twice as likely to witness a robbery in a UK city
nearly 4 times more likely to have your car stolen in a UK city.

US "beats" UK on 1 cat, UK "beats" US on FIVE categories.

To put it into perspective, My city- Manchester, England, is more dangerous than Detroit, Michigan.

My husband has had the same consistent signature and it looks nice. He has been signing the same since many years. He started a new job and he has to sign a lot. Management told him that if he doesn't change his signature he might loose his job. I know that your signature should always be the same and we should not alter it. Where can I find the law about this, so he can print it and bring the HR? Thank you

If cigarettes are so bad for people then, they should be illigal for people to buy. Don't you think that the manufacturer's of this product should have to pay the blunt of the tax's not the smoker. The manufacture's are producer's of the bad product and are the one's who sell the product and made the people addicted. In Drug term's the manufacturer are the "PUSHER'S". The goverment is taxing the wrong people.

If the United State's Goverment is so concerned about drug's then, why have the not distroryed all the poppy plants in Afganistan? Where a great deal of the heroin come's from. Sound's like the Goverment does not real care about there people. But are only intrested in stuffing there pockets with as much cash as they can.

DO YOU THINK THAT POLITICANS ARE REAL PASSING LAWS IN THE BEST INTREST OF THE PEOPLE? ..... DO YOU FEEL LIKE YOUR GOVERMENT IS RERESENTING YOU?

So, I have a little problem. I was talking to a linksys technical support person. They were trying to help me fix my router when I leaned it over to unplug the cable in the back, and it fell off the top of my desk and landed with a thud on top of my cat. I quickly picked up my router in an attempt to save my poor cat, but it was too late, my cat was dead. I cried for hours. I loved him so much. This is all linksys's fault, if they would've just made a working product my cat would still be alive. I was wondering if I should get back at the bastards and sue them for all they're worth.

A search warrant served also turned up drug paraphernalia, a cache of weapons and several cars with license plates that could not be traced back to the vehicles they were on.The dogs found inside Simmons' home did not have the proper food or water. Does it help you sleep at night, make you feel safer?

No joke, why do we continue to reward these inmates. They have the "right" or "choice" not to commit crimes. But we have no"choice" or "rights" in how we deal with them once they have forced themselves upon us as an unwanted responibility. Curentlly we are forced and expected to shelter, feed, provide medical care, and the biggest joke of all...rehabilitate these decision makers. This is truelly a massive injustice to the people who foot this bill. Basically we have set up a reward(no work....but plenty of food, shelter, ect) for not playing by the rules.Yes, prison is a reward.I beileve they should terminate all prisoners, and close the prisons. "Death, with no chance of incaceration" for all crimes sounds like it's just what these decision makers need to finally and fully understand that we are done spending our money on their reward program. I don't know what it cost to build and opperate a prison, but dumping these leaches in a self dug grave must be more cost effective.

I am about to get a divorce with my husband, but he refuses to leave the apartment. He is illegal and i started the process with immigration to get his papers, but I cancelled it. I think he just wants to stay because he has nowhere else to go. One of the reasons i am seeking a divorce is because of his violent behavior and sometimes physical outbursts, which i have pictures to prove. I guess i can go to the police and get a restraining order but that would definitely leave him no chance of getting his papers at all in the future. I'm not sure i want that as that would totally destroy his future and who knows what he will do if i do that to him. I just want him out with no drama. What are my other options? I live in new york...i have the lease in my name only...can i get mangement of the apartment to kick him out? I wish i knew more about the laws so i can know what to do in a situation like this...please help!!
