well dependin on what state you live in, u can join a volunteer firefighter, at the age of 16, but u will not be able to actually fight a fire until the age of 18 or either 21 i can' t remember exactly which, but u can become one, and help with directin traffic on accidents, and helpin provide with moving equipment around out of the trucks, and small stuff like that, so it just really depends on how bad u would really like to be a volunteer firefighter, because no lie u kinda get the short end of the stick, when u r a JR. FIREFIGHTER and thats what ur called until, ur able to actually fight fires and help with wrecks

You defiantly can be a volunteer fire fighter. But for the location i don't know id pick a fire station that's about 3-7 minutes away. Basically they train you in everything you'll need for a fire so just get ready. Once you turn 18 your considered a firefighter. Hope i help

No clue how it is done in Canada but in the states you go to your local Vol. fire dept and ask for an application they all have their own standards some will let you join at 16 some at 18
