Maricopa County sheriff's deputies found three dead dogs and seized 12 undernourished pit bulls Friday from the Cave Creek-area home of rapper-turned-actor DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons. One of the three dead dogs dug up from the backyard was burned. in 1999. Simmons pleaded guilty to animal cruelty. A search warrant served also turned up drug paraphernalia, a cache of weapons and several cars with license plates that could not be traced back to the vehicles they were on.The dogs found inside Simmons' home did not have the proper food or water. Some of the dogs were tied up outside the house without water.

better late than never.people need to realize abusing animals is a serious crime.no matter who you are.what is it some people get money and continue to live like thugs crooks and trash?it makes no sense at all! i guess its like my daddy used to say A FOOL AND THEIR MONEY ARE SOON PARTED!!! these people are innocent till proven guilty that's all i am going to say on this.in his defense DMZ was not even in the country so we shall see if he was aware or responsible or if the caretaker of the animals was guilty of neglect.also why did he have that many pit bulls?it sounds like another dog fighting ring but maybe he was someone who competed against Michael Vick and the others in that dog fighting arena??/ we shall see.i promise you this if i had the money these fools had i would put it to much better use!!! what a sick,sorry a ss shame!!!!

on a similar time as there is not any data he replaced into struggling with the canines, his heartless medical care of them speaks volumes. every person who mistreats animals could desire to be banned from ever possessing something--from a fish to a dogs. i'm happy the government is finally cracking down on CELEBRITIES in contact in this--that's a fresh breath of air while in comparison with the blah blahs of Lohan getting off with sooner or later in detention center, Nicole Richie and her few hours in detention center. Michael Vicks conviction and sentencing will do wonders for the dogs community, besides the fact that if it would not exchange every person's recommendations, a minimum of four greater dogs warring parties are at the back of bars. If DMX has to stay with, so be it.

This is so sick...and sad...I can't imagine how someone could treat an animal like that.

The laws are there. It's laxed more on the part of enforcing those laws.
