Ok, so my brother just moved out on his own. He went to turn on his utilities -- electric, gas, telephone all that necessary stuff. Anyway, the companies asked for his social security number which turned out to already be in their files.....but under the wrong name --a relatives name for that matter!!
How is this? Can somebody just give any social# when turning on their utilities? I thought all those companies like AT&T ran a credit or background check to make sure that all given information was correct -- don't they?

Now my brother just recently went to get a loan and guess what?....uh-huh....same relative's name pops up -- using his social again!!( He claims to be innocent and that somebody made a mistake....huh)
My brother has already gone to the social security office and they said that all information under his ss# is correct......all under his own name.

How did this idiot of a relative do this? What should be done? HOw do we straighten this mess out??

the seller in Hongkong, told me that he sent the item on23rd July, but the item haven't arrived yet. it's a small and light memory card. I told him that ask the post office and find out where is the item.
He doesnt answer to that question.
I've asked him about the item 4times, and he's answered my question all the time, but he's already not registered on ebay.
I'm afraid that I can't get a item even if I already paid.
What can I do to get an item or refund???

I don't care who he thinks he is or how imporatant he thinks he is because of his salary or his status. The abuse he made those dogs endure just shows his TRUE character. He didn't plead guilty until all others involved made the guilty plea. He is only sorry he got caught. It is time for animal abuse to be taken seriously in this country! He's used as an example for positive things, even being a role model. Let's use this man as the example he SHOULD truly be made for and show this country animal abuse won't be taken lightly! This kind of abuse should be a FELONY! Not a slap on the hand and a mere fine.

11 years ago when I was a teen, I was charged w/ possession of a small amt. of marijuana & paraphernalia. I'm now considering a job as a mail courier, but a friend told me they won't hire me because of that petty misdemeanor charge.

Anyone know if this is true?

Thanks in advance.

It has been proved to help azthma and multiple deseases.
I still don't understand why it is illegal.
It has just about the same effects as alcohol and alcohol is legal.
Hmmmm.... don't get it.

The judge had asked me, if I wanted to pay back the child support I owed, and me being a dumbass I said yes. But I have taken care of my daughters from the beggining and all this child support sh*t was a mistake, me and my fiancee got wrong information and we got screwed at the end.

But do you know why the judge, then asked if I wanted too pay it back or not. Is there anyway I can get out of it.

b/c originally my fiancee recieved 1590 from cash assistance, and now the state says I owe over 3G's.

What do you suggest I do?

Lying to congress, and in a State of the Union address to congress, about the presence of WMDs in Iraq is an objective, federal crime, not a subjective crime, AN OBJECTIVE, FEDERAL CRIME.

Outing a covert CIA operative, or shielding those that out such an operative, is an objective, federal crime, not a subjective crime, AN OBJECTIVE, FEDERAL CRIME.

Stop saying that Bush and Cheney have not broken any laws. These are the two broken laws that we know about, but they are objectively the law of the land, and these two criminals have broken them before the entire nation and the entire world.

They will bring the Republican party down with them (a good thing, actually) if they are not brought to the congressional court of impeachment.

A stubborn, imperial president also ignores Republican congressmen and Senators.

He is also ignoring the public's need to get our troops out of Iraq's civil war.

And impeachment just means that they are accused of their crimes, not found guilty.

What are your feelings about follow-up care regarding the women stopped from getting abortions by the protesters? How many of those who stand in the rallies holding signs and yelling 'baby killer' who actually prevent an unwed mother from having an abortion come through for her in the end? Seriously, not to get in a yelling match or hurl insults, but how many would take the girl home, feed her, clothe her and see that she gets proper medical care until the child is born and then either adopt it or see that it is placed in an adoptive situation and the girl sent on her way better than before the pregnancy? We hear so much about stopping abortion, but nothing about what to do with the pregnant girls once they decide against it. Would like honest answers, not diatribes.

Okay, my husband has a son from a previous relationship. He just starting paying support about 2 1/2 months ago because she wouln't let him see his son. So HE went to the child support office & petitioned for visitation. She's told people that he's a deadbeat & that he hasn't tried to help her but we have proof that he has (i.e. phone records, emails). We also have proof where she's made agreements to meet so he can see his son but then no call, no show. We've only got to see him a select few times that she actually showed up & he's the sweetest, cutest little boy. But about 1 month ago, she got a new car (not brand new but newer than the one she had). As far as he knows, there was nothing wrong with the other one. She has a brand new wardrobe now too. She lives with her mom who doesn't have her pay any rent, help with bills, & her mom or brother babysits for her. So she really has no expenses other than her car. Can a judge make her show proof where the money is going??

We have a 2 yr. old mini-schnauzer who is the nicest dog you've ever met. A couple weeks ago we went outside in the morning and he had a purple streak all down his back!
We originally thought it was spray paint .. but someone said it could have been mace?
A day before we found the purple line on him, an appraiser had been at our house to give us an estimate on the value. Is it possible he maced the dog???
Has anyone ever heard of mace leaving behind a purple streak????

I was a victim of a check scam in the amount of $5,000. When I received the check, I called the bank it was issued from. I was informed the check was good. I deposit it in my bank and send the money these "scammers" wanted. My bank didn't put a hold on any of the money. A week after the check was returned. I called the original bank it was issued on. They told me the account was closed. I filed numerous reports with different agencies. It do any good to do that, but that's what you're supposed to do right. The next day I called the original bank back with more questions. They inform me that the account is back open. WTF???? How can someone be allowed to close an account for 1 day, so a check doesn't clear, then be reopened?? Aren't there laws about that?? I am currently working on a payment arrangement with my bank, but I think that should be liable in someway for not putting a hold on the check. As for the other bank, I think they are fully liable, am I right or wrong here??
