Whats the differance in being terminated and fired?

There is no difference in either. I rather just take a lay off which also sucks and basically you are fired because we cannot afford you.

Fired means you can find another job.... terminated means you need an undertaker.

nothing really - both terms generally indicate that the decision to end employment was made by the company/management and not the employee.
