No Way !!! How could anyone (Assume) to vote here in America when all that person has is a (Green Card) The Individual Holder of that Green Card is here to either Work or is going to School. The main reason for having that Green Card is for exactly that same reason that the Individual applied for one, to Work Or go to School with. Does the Country in which that Individual has come from allow U.S. Citizens to Vote in that Country ??? I do not believe that it is a very Good Idea for anyone to vote inside of another Country in which the Individual does not hold (Citizenship) there. Do you think that it would be Fair to another Country that a (Non Citizen) Voted ??? It just would not be (Fair To The People) that actually live & Breath the very Issues that concern them, Vs. someone not Familiar with those Issues. I think that it would be unfair to (Tip The Balance) of votes in a country by someone that either does not belong as a Citizen & not really knowing what the issues are really about. Someone could very well off-set an election in one Country just to please theire own Country, it's like going against the wishes of a Society that has theire own people to vote. I believe that it would be very (Unwise) for a Country to allow someone that is not a Citizen to vote in that Country. Thats All !!!

My parents, are Resident Aliens. They have lived in this country legally since the early seventies. They pay their taxes and have no criminal record. Should they be allowed to vote? No that is a privilege granted to U.S. Citizens. I asked my parents and they agreed.

No. Not until they become naturalized citizens. If you own stock in a major corporation would you argue to allow all consumers of your product be allowed to vote at a shareholder meeting? I own Ford stock and you will let me vote for the new chairman of Toyota ?

if they do that then take the next step and become a citizen....
I am all for to maintain citizenship you would need to serve in the military, not necessarily holding a gun, become a medic, a cook or deliver the mail for the troops
ask not what your country can do for you, but what can you do for your country...........if you knew who said that, you are well on your way to becoming a citizen

This is a priviledge given to a US Citizen. As Americans we take so much for granted. This should not be something to be taken lightly.
