I had given up on child support. I did all the legal stuff to get a court order and a garnishment order to no avail. I have only received 2 full payments and 1 half payment in the last 9 years. I am owed 15,066.00. It should be more, however, for my own sanity I left it at that approx. 8 years ago. I was more than willing to give up a percentage to Support Kids to retrieve anything, if not just put him in jail. I feel like my child is being punished financially, why should'nt he! I just found out there was a tax intercept of $50 that the state took for whatever and that they were sending out a garnishment order. I was actually sent a card to access the potential payments. There have yet to be any payments and I doubt there ever will be. Can anyone offer some advice? Keep in mind that I am in New Orleans and have lost all contact with the noncustodial parent. I couldn't tell you much before the storm and I can't tell you anything after. The state seems to know where he is.

I was on my lunch hour eating a tamale, I squeezed the tamale so that I can eat it pop out of the corn leafs just like a popsicle.
I playfull co-worker came around driving a car and made the sexual gesture of as if I was sucking at his D***K and since he was moving in slow pace, I reach and opened the rear door of the car and trew the tamale into the rear seat of the car but I missed my aim and the tamale went all the way into the car and splatter all over the car and including him..
He went to management and now I stand trial, do you think I will get fired?
Thanks.

alot of people say because its breaking a law but there is a lot of american citizens{no matter what race} that also break laws. Ex.drugs, murder, rape, child abuse,D.U.I., stealing. Those are all laws and they break them everyday! so what is the big deal. They just want to get paid like everyone else does.

I've worked at the same job for 2 half years. Our new manager hates me. She says im the "untouchable one." I do my job and im told on a regular basis im the best employee in there. I'm so fed up with all the drama and her trying to get me wrote up. She's started even using the schedual against me. She's schedualing me for 3 days only working 3 hours and going home. I told my general boss about it. She changed the schedual but its to unload a truck from 8-2 4 2 days thats one of the hardest jobs in there. I really dont want to do it and i feel like my general manager is going along with her punishing me. My general manager said the reason she doesnt like me is because her husband who works there is always asking me to have an affair with him and touching me. She says this is her way of acting out and punshing me. I dont think it's fair. What do i do about her schedualing me for the other 2 days to come unload the truck? What do i do about the boss? I feel like saying im not coming.

I just read an article in which stated that electrical brain stimulation of certain regions of the brain can induce a euphoria that is perfect. It states that the test subject would rather experience such happiness rather than any other activity, including those such as eating if starving or other life threatening situations. From the right for all americans to pursue happiness, is not it reasonable that one can implant an electrode into one's own brain to induce euphoria? Laws do not pervent getting a tattoo, or cutting yourself with a knife, or even sometimes committing suicide, but the pervention of medical surgical procedures is prevailant. We may seem to think that it is all about corporate America, who will buy the goods and help businesses succeed if everyone just wanted one thing:to stimulate their brain for mere cents rather than buy a expensive meal, car, house, etc.? How can any country have a right to our body if they claim to be a free democracy? We are born with the right

I've asked for advice here before but didnt get any responses so i'll ask again. This girl accused me of entering her vehicle back in April 05 and i went to jail; got out on bond the next day. Anyways i was arraigned in July 05 still now this charge is still pending. I was told that i could get the charge dropped because of the length of time i've been waiting on an indictment. My lawyer keeps putting me off when i ask him to file a motion for a speedy trial i've asked three times already. I thought I had a right to a speedy trial whether my lawyer wants me to have it or not. Should I just hire another lawyer?

I can't blame Paris for trying to get out----most of us would seize that opportunity--if you had the influence with this judge what would you like him to do? Some have suggested that sheriff that got her under house arrest be brought to justice since he over stepped him bounds----------The way I see it-------her attorney was a key player in making this happen---------I think he should be held to a high level of accountibility in this issue since it is his job to know that law-------the judge clearly set parameters for her case knowing tricks might be tried---------if anyone should be able to understand the court orders----shouldn't lt that be the defense attorneys???

My x-wife filed child support papers on me for my Oldest daughter (Age 17) a year ago. I've always paid her when I was working, but now I'm unemployed and have been for over 8 months. Now the DA has suspended my license!! My wife makes 3x's what I was making and only uses my money for the CASINO'S. My daughter and I are still close, but my X is bitter cause I have 2 other children with my present wife. Its hard enough with unemployment trying to help my wife cover rent and PARTIAL child care (I have no choice but to keep them with me 3 out 5 days of the week) They are 6 and 2 yrs old. I am in the process of going back to school, and need to work. As it is I already have money taken out for child support for a son I've NEVER seen! I love my children and got laid off (Co.Buy-out) 2 yrs ago and have been unable to get anything remotely CLOSE to what I was making before as a supervisor. I've taken little jobs since, but not enough to keep up. I need my license back. How do I get it back

My husband found out he had a 3 year old daughter in January of 2006. Since then he has paid support regularly up until January of this year. He was in between jobs and no support was taken out for a month and a half. Now, he is being taken to court for all the back support for all 3 years of the kids life for $10,000. Is he facing time or what should we expect?

His brother is a bit of a terd. He left the house to live with someone else, actually to live with his girlfriend and another older man. He has left on his own, not left by his mother. Although my boyfriend( his brother) was asked by his brother to take him to the place. Now he is accusing his mother and father ( they are divorced) of child abandonment. I doubt this is possible he has a record of being rude, disrespectful. I hope he will not get away with this. Let me know something! thanks~

This married girl fell for me and we had a relationship and had sex. People find out and now shes claiming I slandered her. Slander is saying false information but everything is true and hurting her character. I contacted the local authorities and they said its the truth and you didnt hurt her character, she hurt her own image the minute she slept with you so its her problem, no slander is involved. Can someone tell me how this is "slander" or are the cops right?

My daughter was born in 1995. I left her father when she was 8 months old and he terminated all paternal rights. I had my parents adopt her so she would have medical insurance and also to ensure I would not be harassed by her father. So legally, she is my sister. We live in Florida-if that makes a difference in any replies I may receive.

My daughter/'sister' and I lived at home with my parents from 1995-2006. I have ALWAYS worked. I claimed head of household and received the EIC from 1996-2006. My father never had a problem with this before. But now that he and my mother are splitting up and I have been helping her get her life together, he has threatened that he will report me to the IRS and I 'will owe tens of thousands of dollars to the IRS'. I guess he is doing this to hurt me or to make me back off helping my mom get away from him...
Do I have anything to worry about? Please help me. My mom is Asian and he makes threats all the time and we never know what to believe...

Remember the old foundation that America was built on using a seperation between the church and state? With abortion laws, death sentences, war, marijuana legalization, etc, most of these controversies seem to have the church at one side and peoples' own choices at another. Why can't we base these decisions on state and the choice's of the citizen rather than a religion?
