Because some people believe that illegal immigrants come and take jobs away from the Citizens. The illegal immigrants will take less pay, so why would a company hire a Citizen making say $20 per hour when they can pay an illegal immigrant $5 per hour for the same job. The citizens will have to take jobs making less money or be unemployed. It all comes down to the bottom line for companies. Also, as far as the crime, people don't like the crime from anybody whether illegal or a citizen, but they feel if you keep letting criminals in, you get more crime. Keep illegals out and just deal with the criminals we already have. I personally believe that America is the land of opportunity. As long as you're not hurting anybody, come join us.

Are you serious? Yes there are crimes all over the place committed by citizens but that does not mean that they go are to go unpunished. And that punishment is paid for by other citizens' tax dollars. So now, you add an illegal immigrant to the mix who is breaking the law.
Legal citizens who now have to pay millions of U.S. dollars in taxes to deal with and pay for someone who shouldn't be here anyway.
I have several family members who came to the U.S. to work. They obtained green cards and later became tax paying citizens!
My view is this... If you want to be here, fine, but do it the right way. Don't come over and leach off the government and spit in the face of those immigrants who busted their butts to make a way for their families. Because in doing so, people will continue to make a big deal about illegal immigrants living in America for years to come.

Don't know your age or financial situation but; illegals are breaking the US coffers and social service programs that I for one have worked and paid taxes to support for 42 years. If I ever decide to use a social service such as hospital, social security, food stamps, energy support or any of the services that our taxes support then they will probably be broke from the illegals sponging of them. This is a great Country and freedom was fought for and won; therefore you enjoy this by what your forefathers gave to you. Don't give it away to someone who would come here and break our laws while they sponge from us. Let them come in the legal way and little will be said. The money they earn here goes back to their home country not to the tax structure that provides protection for you..

SO just because Americans break laws , your logic excuses anarchy for people to enter our country illegally ?
So whats the big deal ? How about people earning a living at my expense? How much would this illegal contribute to the social security system. They will however collect from it.
They just want to get paid ! How about getting a job in their own country ? if that job is not available there, isn't that an issue with that country. we do not want anarchy nor do we want people come to our country who have no respect for our laws of entry. Further , we do not want any person in congress serving us that will give amnesty to people who break our laws to come in.

Its the fact that illegal immigrants are receiving all the benefits of Americans. They get medicare, medicaid and Social Security. They get low interest loans, and a lot of advantages people born in this country don't get. If they are illegal, why give them Social Security when they have never paid a cent into the program, leaving it bankrupt for the people who have put money into it their entire lives. Actually, if they are found to be illegal they should be deported not rewarded for doing something illegal.

There was a time when I needed help with health insurance. I did all the paperwork, met the financial guidelines and was denied. Why, because the government took money from the program to help the working uninsured and gave it to the uninsured immigrants.
They take from us in ways you are not aware of. I have no problem with immigrants they just need to be legal. They belong in jail for breaking the law, that is exactly where you or I would be.

illegal immigrants can't pay taxes. If they do, they'd get caught and deported. Plus, many public services like in hospitals also offer free medical care to illegal immigrants..with so many illegal immigrants working in "under the table" or "under the desk" jobs that often have no healthcare plan...they would clog up or slow down these services especially for those who are are citizens and legal immigrants who pay taxes. They're basically "leeches," they earn money and send those money to their home nation, while not paying taxes to the country they've immigrated to.
Countries with this problem like the U.S should do the following things:
- Grant some sort of legality to illegal immigrants who've already settled in the country (this would allow them from stop fearing deportation and finally start paying taxes)
- Find some way to effectively stop the flow of illegal immigrants to the country....ethically

They come here illegally. Get jobs illegally. Don't pay income tax or social security illegally. Get knocked up so they can have "anchor babies".. Overwhelm our schools with the problems associated with teaching children who don't speak English. Use fake IDs which are also illegal. That does not take into account the number or rapists, drug runners, dead beat dads, thiefs, etc. That is why people are making a big deal. It is costing us money and hurting our overall existence as a nation.

a lot of our grandparents and some parent, went through a lot, to become us citizens.but they did it the right way and didn't expect every one to-bow down to there ways and language.they melted in to the ways and languages was already here.i don't believe these illegal should just be off the hook, i think they should prove they want to be here and be a us citizen by learning and speaking English, by staying out of trouble, holding a job and paying taxes, and they can't just come here and get government help, they must earn it
