This has nothing to do with ethics. If two people want to marry why should a coincidence of surnames even be considered? Do you have all of your marbles?

Are you saying that everyone with the name, Brown or Smith are related??? What the h*** is wrong with Mr. Smith marrying Ms. Smith? Or Mr. Jones wedding Ms. Jones.??? Makes no diff if they are school Teachers, Lawyers, Doctors or plain old labors. My last name is Roberts. My son married a gal with the last name of Roberts. No relation what so ever.

Of course. Especially in the US many names were changed in Ellis Island. My last name is pretty common so I could easily marry someone with the same last name and not be blood relations.

What does this have to do with ethics? That's not unethical...there are no ethics involved in this (unless they are related)

I have an aunt and uncle that both had the same last name, not related, nor is it a common name. I thought my aunt was lucky as she never had to change her name.

Now I know how you got the nick name peewee......no not unless he called her cuzin before they got married or if she/he is the student in the 6th grade and the other is the teacher.

why is this even a question? There's nothing that a reaonsable or even unreasonable person would find wrong with this. Heck in that case she doesnt even need to decide if she's keeping her last name or taking his.
