Go to the front desk of the jail and ask for it. They should give it to you because it is used for identification, like on their mail.

By book number, I assume you mean their DOC number. Look at the department of correction page where said inmate is housed, and do a search by their name. You will have to know their birth-date if they have a common name like "John Smith" etc. Their inmate page should have their name, birth-date, etc. along with their 'book number".

Google Maricopa Jail Inmate Search. Once u find the website, type in the person's name, or case number and it should give u their booking number on the account.

I definitely know this one. Someone close to my heart is incarcerated. All you do is call the correctional institute where he is being held and ask. Most of the officers are cooperative, although some are real jerks. Good Luck!
