with my personal experiance today I can make the educated opinion we are truelly not. When I mentoned my child was taken away from me it was automaticly assumed that I was guilty. I am amazed that because I was in a phyc ward I was automaticly accused and it was automaticly assumed i was an awfull parent. or that my parenting skills were lacking. So I think the line should be guilty till proven innocent. And to all who made their accusations I would truelly be ashamed.

Is this what my tax dollars are paying for:

S.C. may cut jail time for organ donors

Has our government anything else to offer us besides this for our tax dollars?

Help! My sister in law is smoking pot with her 3 yr old on her knee, and I found a mirror with cocaine residue and a razor in the bathroom after her older son asked me to help him find toilet paper. I called child protection and they said I have to make a police report but this process could take weeks to lead up to and investigation, is there anything else I can do? We live in Illinois if that helps.

For two days I have been expecting a package to be delivered, come to find out that the UPS man left it off at one of my neighbors who signed for it. UPS and myself were unable to determine who the neighbor was and were waiting for the delivery man to contact me to let me know; this evening there is a knock at my door, one of my neighbors (who i trust) hands me the opened package, missing its contents that the person left by my floors elevators. While the package wasn't expensive and UPS will compensate me, it irks me that a neighbor could be so silly as to sign for the package and then steal the contents. No I am not looking for them to get the chair or anything; but I would like for them to be aware that this behavior is unacceptable.

Please if you can back up your answers with facts and if at all possible links. Thanks in advance.

This is serious. A while ago, I think I was sexually harrased at school, but I was too afraid to speak up because I didn't want to cause trouble and it being a hassle for me and the school. Do you think I did the right thing or the wrong thing? I still think about it sometimes, but i try not to think about it and let it bother me. It was my professor in college and during an office hours visit, he was trying to get my binder so that he could see the problems he would help me with, but in the process, he was about less than 2 inches from my private area, and it made me real uncomfortable. He's usually a nervous type of professor and shy, but for some reason, we wasn't shy in his office.

Today I just had my science fair. I think i was cheated out of the score i should have gotten. i worked my *** off to get my project done and was the first to get my project turned in. when i sighned my science fair contract, i sed i would do a project with combustion. at first i wanted to do a project on ethanol but that was ileagle without an ATF certification. then i decided to do something on rocketry but that was 'too dangerous of an endevor' to do. so by the time a had a project it was about 1 week before the science fair. i got it done in a three day weekend along with two book reports given simultaneously by one teacher. then today, i got two judges that asked me questions irrvalent to my project which i awnsered correctly. they then asked me more irrelavent questions, harder this time, and made jokes about the way i stood and the way i studdered trying to find the right words. judges that werent assigned to me said they would give me a 'speriour' .

suppose you work at an office and one day you miss work. the next day you come back and you find out that a co-worker and the assistant manager (of the company) went into you office and looked through everything, knocked some stuff over, and took some files. Is this lawful? can they technically do this without having your consent.

As you can see from my profile and questions - I am a student studying law. I intend to graduate and fight the rights of sex offenders. I know, I know... I have heard it all.... Even sex offenders deverse a second chance and not be punished twice (Once by trial/second by public!!!)

NOW, from what I see from most of the responses - everytime I ask a question and put the word "sex offender"... I get mostly the same response. "ANYBODY WHO HURTS A CHILD LOSES THEIR RIGHT"... Some people are just braindead... I DIDN'T SAY CHILD MOLESTER... I said SEX OFFENDER... All child molesters are sex offenders, but not all sex offenders are child molesters.

My question now is this... and I would love to hear from the people who answered my previous questions with "Child molesters have lost their rights" (which is another story)

Do you think just because someone is labeled as a sex offender that he/she physically molested a child???

The other day, while on shift duty on my local fire department, we recieved a medical call. After responding I realized I would be approx. 15-20 mins late for my full-time job. After calling my supervisor he stated I would be wrote up for this. Does anyone know where I can find information regarding this issue? Are there any laws protecting a firefighter against this kind of action from another employer? Any help is MUCH appreciated in this matter. Thanks in advance!

The other day, my debit card was overdrawn because of stupid annual subscription fee I wasn't watching. After that, there were small pending charges so the bank hit me with an insufficient funds fee of $100! Now just out of curiousity (not saying that I will do this). If I was to tell my bank that the charges from the website annual fee that put me into negative were unauthorized, will they investigate? My sister told me to do this. Will the bank contact the company themselves and find out? Is it punishable by law?

Don't attack me, I'm not a scammer and I probably won't do this but I'm curious if people CAN actually do this at get away with it.

Thanks

I was giving power of attorney on a 15 year old child. At the time she was 5 months pregnant. Her stepfather gave me the power of attorney on this girl. When the baby was born the mother and father of the baby granted me power of attorney over the baby (both mother and father of the child was 16 at this time.) Now that the mother is 17 years old she gave me a Revocation of Power of Attorney on her. She stated that she is of legal age so she can revoke the Power of Attorney that I was granted. And told me that the power of Attorney over the baby is revoke because she is of age.

There is a very large commercial van belonging to a window company, which is being parked on the road right outside my house every evening and all weekend and this has been happening for the last few months now. They are definitely not carrying out any work at the other houses in my road and obviously, for whatever reason, the driver is unable to park it at his own house, which I assume is nearby, but we've never actually seen him. Not only does it look incredibly ugly right in front of our house, but it obstructs my view when I reverse down our drive to go to work and makes moving the car very difficult. We have even tried ringing the company number written on the van but it is on answerphone all day and they never respond to our messages. What are our rights here and how should we go about getting the company to move the van? Any advice would be great as we're just not sure where we stand.

I recently had some photographs taken in a studio. I received a contact sheet (small images in order to choose which ones I want to purchase) and selected the photographs I wanted. I am due to collect them on Saturday but my partner noticed some problems with the ones I selected, for example there is a huge crease in the white paper they used. The studio also promised to remove a clump of hair from another photo I selected. I am concerned that this company will not correct any of these things and will want me to pay for the photographs. Where do I stand legally?

I pay my child support by direct debit weekly. and have done for the last 4 years (since my child was born). This is by 'verbal' private agreement (not written).

I have heard some horror stories.. can my ex claim from csa for the whole last 4 years by saying that i have never paid anything?. I keep some bank statements but not all. If its not written.. could she just say that the money i have paid was for something different (eg. money owed etc).. and that i have never paid anything in child maintenence???

Appreciate answers from professionals in the know. ta.
