Arrests stay on your criminal record for life, and can only be withdrawn, dually executed and bereaved by a judge, or arresting officer. If under the age of 18, those charges will be sealed and can only be received after the age of 18 with a proper warrant.
The federal government has the ability to take away all charges by an official pardon. This is almost impossible to get.

Generally, once you have been convicted of a felony, or any federal offense (and many drug busts are federal), it remains on your police record permanently.
There are some ways that a record can be expunged, to have very old convictions removed. But those procedures tend to be complex, and not always available.

My guess is that it would stay on your record permanently.
Unless an agreement was reached with the authorities that the record would be expunged per some requirement that you stay out of further trouble for a specific length of time.

You didnt state if it was a conviction or not....A charge probably wont show. A conviction will be there forever
