i got a question in california (bay area) the I.C.E are raiding peoples houses and asking random hispanics on the street what's their legal status and if they cant prove they're a citizen they arrest them how come they're only targeting hispanics and not canadians or hindu or asian people? what's your thoughts on it and do u think the INS should get away with it without proper warrents.

I know the First Amendment in the Bill of Rights provides for freedom of the press, but when a defendant faces possible imprisonment, loss of assets, or defamation of character due to public opinion influenced by the reportings of the press, how can one be considered "innocent until proven guilty" and in the end receive a fair trial?

I would think there is some kind of paperwork from the military giving permission or a clearence to the enlisted person to be able to take a job before retirement. It would protect the military member as well as the company...Any info on this is appriciated.

My ex's mother is constantly threatening me if I do not let her see my daughter (ex. her son stop paying me child support) is careless with my daughter (burned once by mistake with cigarette, unexplained bruises, etc) and I would be happy if she wasn't involved in my daughters life at all. (At least until my daughter is old enough to decide)

I go to school full time and work on the weekends so I find it hard enough to spend enough time with my daughter. The grandmother gets upset if she doesn't have my daughter for at least one whole day a week and usually wants to take her without any notice.

My ex and I are trying to be friendly but it is hard with her always coming in between. He is paying unoffical child support because we didn't want things to get ugly in court.

So my questions are, does the grandmother have any legal rights at all and would it be wrong for me to keep my daughter away from her except for short visits?

I met a group of gals for lunch today at a local Firehouse subs. As we sat on the outdoor patio, I noticed this man far down the shopping strip coming out of a grocery store. He had on baggy pants, shirt, baggy jacket and scraggly hair. He was only carrying a jug of orange juice.

As we ate, I watched as the man would take a swig of juice, set the jug down on the sidewalk before him, and do this repeated pattern of brushing his pant legs, scratching his knees, and repeatedly brushing the sidewalk with his hands. Then he would pick up the jug and continue walking.

Everyone was staring of course trying to figure out what was going on. I put down my sandwich. I watched as the man got closer, and he actually stopped near out table and did the whole thing over again. Everyone could only stare as he continues ALL the way down the sidewalk continuing to do that while whispering to himself.

Do you think that was OCD? Should someone have called the cops or someone to help him?

Many Democrats have already stated publicly that the US Attourneys serve 'at the presidents pleasure' and that he is free to fire as many of them as he wants with no reason whatsoever. it is within his presidential powers.

Clinton fired over 90 of them at once and there were ongoing investigations into his and Hillary's personal misconduct which then simply stopped. This is not the case with Bush.

Isnt this just another fishing expidition?

Republicans - Are you sick of the silence from your side?

Democrats - Why do you think this could be "Bush's Watergate"?

The NYPD found an 11th hour, suprise witness. To me it is a little suspec but that is my opinion.

Do you think the murderers of Sean Bell have a hope of now going to trial because of this? Would the killers "get away with murder" because they found a witness out of the blue?

When I was a young boy, around 7 or 8 years old, I was introduced to my 13-year-old babysitter's breasts. She allowed me to fondle them and play with them. She was aroused. But I was too young to actually engage in legitimate sex. I was also grossed out by womanly wetness. But I also got the opportunity to play with my 14-year-old babysitter's breasts. We let my little 4-year-old sister play too, even though she doesn't remember and didn't take any interest. I enjoyed myself throroughly, I was aroused (though I was not mature enough to finish), and I really liked it. Was this illegal behavior? Could my parents have pressed charges? And who would get in trouble, the girls or their parents?

There are "underlings" and they charged full amounts EACH when even meeting with each other. What is this called when they do this(I need terminology for filing complaint)? They would call each other, email each other, and charge client for each of their time.

I am subleasing a room in a house to tenant. This tenant has recently moved out, and we refunded him the total security deposit on good faith. He is now refusing to pay his last utility payment for a month when he was still living in the house, even though the terms of the lease state that he is responsible for his share. Additionally, he was paid the security deposit back by the new roommate taking his place, and it has come to light that he has charged her more than he paid for his security deposit- essentially stealing from her.

Do I have any course of action to get the utilities from him or the money he extorted from the new roommate?

He is about to file for bankruptcy...but I feel that the hospital is trying to cheat him out him. Please help.

With new proposals for biological information in your passport, ID cards and government legislation allowing them to scan our emails and phone calls for example, a lot of our lives will become more monitored, and potentially recorded, than ever before.

Is this a problem if you are a good citizen?

For me, I don't care if I'm caught on camera 1,000 times a day or if my emails are read - I don't do anything illegal and don't intend to.

What are other people's opinions on the matter?
