It is illegal nation-wide to use closed-circuit surveillance cameras in any dressing room, bathroom, or single-sex locker room. It is also illegal to have "lookouts" (peepholes) installed in the same places. Employee coat rooms, lunch rooms, and other areas where employees of both sexes have free access may have cameras installed.

It is illegal for a camera to be pointing at any place that is assumed as private. So maybe the entrance or exit of a dressing room is legal, but definitely not the actual changing room where the person is changing. If you are worried they might have hidden cameras you can get a device to find hidden cameras. Security Cameras Direct sell them. They are called the spy finder. I have included the link below.

In the actual changing room - no that is not legal. On the corridors leading in and out of the changing room - yes it is legal.

In most states this is illegal. And peep holes are illegal also. There is supposed to be a person stationed near the change rooms who checks you in and when you are done, checks you out.

Yes it is illegal. I have heard that there are some slime dogs out there though. If you ever discover a lens, report it to the police, not the establishment.
