No flaming or trolling. I just wanna get this confirmed that handcuffs and children don't mix even when the police do this to give the child a little scare-me for a wrongdoing?

I recently got charged with possesion of marijuana and paraphrenalia. I actually only had 2 bowls, no weed, but the cops charged the resin in my bowl as weed possesion. This doesn't seem fair, for if my bowls were clean, then it would just be glass, but i've heard that somehow, cops can do that if they want. I don't have enough money for an attourney. My court date is in perhaps, 4 or 5 days. I'm really stressed out about it. what should i do in court?

My dad died and he didnt have much...but he did have $1200 dollars in stock and a couple of older cars. His girlfriend had power of attorney and was responsible for using his assets to pay his bills left. My sister financed his funeral through the funeral home and the girlfriend never payed anything with his assets. We didnt know about the will until now. He died in late 2004. Can she be made to comply with the will? And what if she didnt pay anything..hospital bills, etc.?

I am outraged. Ok, a little background... My father was convicted of child molestation in 1996. He spent 3 months in jail and got out with 9 years probation. Since then, around 2005, my brother gave my father temporary custody of his 2 sons, both under the age of 5 at the time. Now, my brother has allowed my father to legally adopt one of his sons. He is now in the second grade, i think.
My question, which may be a legal one, is how in the world did they do this? Why would the state give custody of a child to a man with a criminal record such as he has? and why is he not required to register as a sex offender or predator? I have tried to locate the court papers where he plead guilty and served his conviction. I do not understand how such an evil human being can get ahold, legally, of another child that he may hurt! Please help if you have any insight on such a thing. I haven't had anything to do with my father for 11 years and no longer speak to my brother. I need some answers pls.

2 months ago, my former friend's dad got in an accident, in which he was no longer able to work. He was no longer to pay the bills and was 2 months behind. I was nice, so I loan my friend 4000 dollars. He promised he would have payed me once he received his income return. 1 month ago, his friend told me he had received his income return. Right after, I tried to get ahold of him, but to no avail. He never answered my calls or was never home. At that time, I had arranged to pay a deposit and first months rent of an apartment my friends and I were getting. I had 3 days left to pay, but I still couldn't get ahold of him. I found out one day that he told his friend that he was never going to pay me. This is when my 4 friends and I decided to break into his house to at least get some stuff of his. One night, we drove to his house. When we got there, we decided not to do it, so my friend just threw 2 rocks at the windows. On the way out of the neighborhood, we got stopped.

My friend Carla is in trouble. When she was 17 she was caught smoking weed while driving. She and her ex-bf were riding around after they finished smoking and she swerved on the road and a cop pulled them over. He asked if she had anything illegal on her and she gave it up. She was in jail overnight. She still hasn't been convicted bc her lawyer kept pushin back her court date. Yesterday she was caught at a state park with weed in her purse. She lost her purse at a camp site and came back for it. The park cops found it and went through it. When she went to get it they asked if she had everything in her purse and she said yes. They went through her purse with her there and asked her who's weed was it and she said it was hers. She didn't go to jail but she has a court date. What would her sentence be? Would the first time she was caught be counted since she still has been convicted? Please be serious with your answers.

My local union overcharged the members for ten years for our health care. We overpaid this money to our administrator(a union owned co). When we ask for our money to be returned we are told "We are not in the refund business or we are not sure how much was overpaid or we think it would be in your best intrest to let us handle it" I figure that I have overpaid atleast 10 thousand dollars to them and I want it back. Who do I contact about our corrupt local to get an investigation and have these thieves prosecuted?

my boss is always forgetting everything, and blaming everyone else, and has no shame in making anyone look like a complete moron. always making fun and yelling at people before even knowing what the circumstances are. very rude all the time, very belittling all the time, yet wants to be your friend and thinks he does no wrong.

To me taking away rights for homosexuals is so wrong, it's only confirming the fact that government doesn't believe we live in a seperation of church and state (according the bible being homosexual is "wrong").

this old saying is in my opinion the true statement.

the traditional statement is a Liars decietful and false testimony statement.

if a person is a repeat offender, he is a criminal, criminals are known to fool people.
it may fit some people profiles, but by far, the majority of people who deceived the unlearned are guilty of lying and deceiving and even practicing greater abominations.
Do you agree?
a person can be fooled many times and still not know what is going on, therefore a person who is fooled is just lacking in truth to understand what is going on.

oK... my dad died in oct-2006.

Probate was just filed on 1-mar-2007 and courtdate of 12-mar-2007.

Executor: My uncle - lawyer was retained by him.
(He had stated previously he was reliquishing his executor status to Edward Jones (yet the laywer & docket info say uncle filed.

Question: as one of several direct children should we have recieved any notification about the probate before now...or is that still something that will happen during the course of probate process.

My biggest problem is that Im getting contradictory info depending on who I talk with (Lawyer, investment rep, uncle, etc?)..

I am dating an American and I live in Canada and we cross back and forth across the border twice a week, my question is how long will this be allowed for until the customs guys stop us from going back and forth? As well, is it permissable for him to live in Canada and still work in the U.S. since it seems more likely of that happening than for me to work here and live in the U.S.?
