this old saying is in my opinion the true statement.

the traditional statement is a Liars decietful and false testimony statement.

if a person is a repeat offender, he is a criminal, criminals are known to fool people.
it may fit some people profiles, but by far, the majority of people who deceived the unlearned are guilty of lying and deceiving and even practicing greater abominations.
Do you agree?
a person can be fooled many times and still not know what is going on, therefore a person who is fooled is just lacking in truth to understand what is going on.

though i was a notorious liar and a thief as a child, it was all criminal behaviour. The bible says a liar will not enter the kingdom of God. Those who teach that white lies are justifiable, simply should shut up, because it is false doctrine. if you do not have a faithful wife who does not want you to tell her the truth, then you get what you deserve. A faithful wife should have complete trust, it works both ways.

i don't necessarily think that everybody who lies is a criminal. in fact, far from it. i think many people lie and are perfectly normal members of society. there are varying degrees of lying in my opinion -- when a girl asks, "does this make me look fat?" and you say "no" even though it does... that's a small lie and probably for the better. lying under oath is a big lie and is criminal. but just because someone repeatedly tells small lies doesn't make them a criminal.

If you were a notorious liar and a thief as a child and you are voicing these opinons now, It seems to me you have some very serious trust issues. You don't trust yourself and you don't trust others because you already know all the tricks, even though the honest person does not.

I believe the phrase actually goes something like this, "Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice shame on me, fool me thrice, trust shall never be."

By your own words you have condemned yourself and have proven you can never be trusted. It sounds to me as if rage and anger at your own behavior is being acted out against your wife, when you have inferred by your own words that you are a criminal.

I don't think I fully understand the question, because I have the distinct impression you want validation in the form of a specific response, that response being your wife should trust you and you should trust your wife. "A faithful wife should have complete trust, it works both ways."

So . . . . you are accusing her of being unfaithful because . . . . she doesn't trust you? You just admitted you were a deceitful liar and gave false testimony. And it appears to me you are blaming her for not trusting you?

And . . . . you don't trust her because? she won't fall in line with your deceptiveness? She won't trust you to tell the truth because of your deceitfulness?

I think you need some serious counceling with a liscensed therapist. Get your head on straight. No one who knows you well can trust you.

Trust has to be EARNED not handed out like candy at a party. It is my opinion you need to do some serious work on yourself and not blame others for your actions.

There’s an old retaining in Tennessee — i know it’s in Texas, likely in Tennessee — that announces, fool me once, shame on, shame on you. fool me, you may’t get fooled back.” —George W. Bush
