I neglected to pay county personal property taxes on a car I owned for two years(total amount :$103). The taxes have now been paid. I have always had good credit, low debt, and never had any issues with filing my federal/state tax returns(no criminal record or other issues, either). Will this prevent or delay me from acquiring a Top Secret clearance?

I believe that a sex offender on probation/parole who is guilty of an offense against a child (early teen / pre-teen, or younger), where the offense involved molestation or rape, should not be allowed use of the internet. The internet for heinous sex offenders is a tool and a strategy like a
fishing rod for a fisherman. We should deprive these individuals of the tool. WHat do you think? I am not saying ALL sex offenders should be treated this way, only the ones I speak of above. There are some people who are "mild" sex offenders, i.e. they flashed a woman in a park, they streaked, etc. These folks would not be subject to the "No internet" law. What say you?

Boyfriend has been with company 3 years & boss had promoted him into Mngmt. Recently got a huge bonus too. In February he took 2 days VAC to go away for V-day with me. THey bugged him the entire time he was gone. Upon his return, he was taken out of town by the company for vendor relations & did great - till he came back sick as a dog. he went to Dr. and found he had gotten an infection while gone and was out of work for 3 days. He went back and two ago - hurt his back pulling his tools out of his truck at work. He's been out since seeing a chiropractor - they fired him two days after hsi injury. Can and should he fight this - I mean what about Workers Compensation and Disability law - don't they prevent them from being able to fire him or is this just this just me?

My friend who came from an Asian country had to stay in a hotel for a week with his 2 yr old daughter, she was having jet lag and she woke up by 2 at night and started crying. The man at the neighbouring room complained and threatened him that he would call a police. He requested him that he would vacate in a couple of days and he did so. I really felt sorry for him and his child.

I just got suspended from my school because my "skirt was to short." Except my skirt was over an inch longer then my finger tips. The handbook said it can only go to finger tip length. So as they were telling me to change, I asked them why. Then it turned to me asking the principal and all he said "Because I said so." Now I am in HIGH SCHOOL! Not elementary. I am no freshman either! I deserve a better response then "Because I said so." So when I continued to ask, they finally suspended me. I consider this to be unfair. Even the teachers thought my skirt was school appropriate. I even showed them the handbook where it said what the length should be. Where could I possibly report this to? Principals going against the handbook just because of they way they feel about something, isn't right. My only crime was... I looked good.

I am a male that resides in the state of Ohio. I am the residential parent of my two daughters in a shared parenting plan I have with their mother. We have been divorced for 4 years now. My ex is the one that decided she wanted out of our marriage and was re-married within a year after our divorce to someone she was secretly seeing while we were still married. I re-married 7 months ago and within 3 months after my wedding my ex-filed for full custody of the girls which she was denied and nothing changed on our current agreement. She has now filed for child support because she wants to become a stay at home mom which I have nothing against but should her choice to quit her job be my responsibility to support her financially? I know what the Ohio law says but at the same time what would be wrong with me becoming a stay at home dad? I guess I'm having more trouble with the spiteful nature that this all is taking on and not the benefit of the children.

I work in an office that has a dress code. It required men to wear shirts and ties, dress pants and shoes however it does not make such specific stipulations about women's attire. Simply stated, women must dress professionally. One of the guys here thinks women's dress needs to be as explicitly laid out as the men's otherwise it's discriminatory. He also argues that for a woman to wear pants, dress shoes and a sweater is not nearly as professional as a man wearing a shirt and tie. He seems to be the only man in this place with this problem and he repeatedly insists that it is discriminatory.

Should an individual seek legal advice or representation when an employer fires the individual two weeks after the individual had their medication adjusted? The employer was aware of the adjustment made on the medication which was being taken to alleviate symptoms of ADHD and depression. One week after the individual was fired, the individual was hospitalized for severe depression. The excuse the employer gave the individual upon his/her termination was that he/she was incapable of multitasking. What are the legal options available for this individual??
