I neglected to pay county personal property taxes on a car I owned for two years(total amount :$103). The taxes have now been paid. I have always had good credit, low debt, and never had any issues with filing my federal/state tax returns(no criminal record or other issues, either). Will this prevent or delay me from acquiring a Top Secret clearance?

No. If there's a pattern of late payments, huge debt, etc. it could have an impact. However, keep your finances in check. Once you get the clearance, they can pull it, and one of the most common reasons is finances.

I don't think so. People are human. The main thing is that you DONT lie about anything. Even if you are a child molester don't lie about it. As soon as you are caught in a lie the game is over. Don't lie.
