Ahhh, Mock Trial... I loved doing that in school.

As one of the answers above me states, you've been given more information that just that a school bell has been stolen.

You have a defendent and a list of witnesses. As the prosecuter, one of the things you're going to want to do is to check into the backgrounds of each of the people and look at their stories.

We used to have a trial lawyer who acted as our "coach". You should hopefully have one too. If you have questions about what you need to do, can or can't do, ask them. They'll be able to guide you.

I would imagine you've been given more information than just having to "prosecute" the theft of a school bell.

Hopefully, you've been provided information concerning possible witnesses and suspects.

The types of questions you ask should be directed towards who, what, when, where, how, and why!

Attempt to establish who was where when doing what etc!

This is why attorneys have to be quick with their train of thought!

Best wishes!
