I just got a voice recording pen recently for my birthday and it's pretty good if you want to conceal it from other's. I just want to know if i could use it without ther person knowing that I'm recording. Also someone told me that it is illegal in some states and my second question is if it is legal in California?

This is only a SMALL part of the list:

1-James McDougal - Clinton's convicted Whitewater partner
died of an apparent heart attack, while in solitary
confinement. He was a key witness in Ken Starr's
investigation.

2 -Mary Mahoney - A former White House intern was murdered
July 1997 at a Starbucks Coffee Shop in Georgetown. The
murder happened just after she was to go public with her
story of sexual harassment in the White House.

3- Vince Foster - Former White House councilor, and
colleague of Hillary Clinton at Little Rock's Rose Law
firm. Died of a gunshot wound to the head, ruled a suicide.

4- Ron Brown - Secretary of Commerce and former DNC
Chairman. Reported to have died by impact in a plane
crash. A pathologist close to the investigation reported
that there was a hole in the top of Brown's skull
resembling a gunshot wound. At the time of his death Brown
was being investigated, and spoke publicly about his willingness to cut a deal with prosecutors. All on the plane died.

I am from Texas, and I have two daughters. I would definitely have voted against the law requiring 6th grade girls to have this vaccine. However, I was not asked, Rick Perry just jumped in and forced this law on us. Do you think it is right for him to have done so? I worry about the drugs possible side effects. I know that it can possibly prevent H.P.V. and therefore lessen chances of cervical cancer, but I have fears about the bad effects that they learn about years after forcing us to take this risk with our daughters health. What do you think? I am afraid that they could cause problems with fertility since they are dealing in the reproductive organs. I know they have been tested by the F.D.A., but so was Phen Phen, and heaven only knows how many other harmful drugs. Why take the chance, why not just teach the girls abstinence as the H.P.V. is sexually transmitted?

I am friends with some seniors in high school, and I know they drink at parties (I'm 14). I hang out with them a lot, and they're inviting me to a party this weekend (I can't go b/c of prior commitments). If I DID go and the police came, would anything happen to me if I had not been drinking? If I was drinking? Once again, this is theoretical (not that I would go to a drinking party anyway).

I dated a girl for a month last year around March and after we broke up she notified me she had a child. Due to some shadyness on her part, I wasn't sure if it was true. I told her I didn't want to have a child. She started to call my work and harass me about it. I have since treated her nicely and she has cooled down and become cool. She notified me she had the baby around November, and won't ask for child support from me and is now going to be moving out of state. To protect myself from the possibility of owing back child support, and to find out if it is really mine - what can I do? I don't want to anger her and have her slam child support on me, but I also don't want to get a large child support bill down the road. She said something about how I can sign over rights, will that absolve me of paying any child support? Is there any legal way to where if she agrees, I can get something in writing that I don't have to pay child support?

Is it a gateway drug? Do you consider it healthy or dangerous? Compared to alcohol, better, worse, the same? Should it be legalized? Should people who use the drug be denied employment or put in jail? Do you think it enlightens habitual users or inhibits them? If you realized your child, parent, or spouse was a user what would you do?

I spoke with an employee of the Placer County Child Support Office about filing a complaint. Little did I know at the time that the person I was complaining about was the Complaint Resolution Officer. This particular employee then took it upon themselves to write the complaint in their own words on a complaint form, sign it, submit it, judge there own determination as being fair and valid, and then dismiss the claim. At no time did I ever submit a written complaint in my words, signed by me. Judge, Jury and Executioner? I think so. After this unethical decision, this employee then requested (and did) have the interim Director sign off on this as correct, lawful and fair. It is most apparent that The Director did not take the time to investigate, nor judge his employees work. Although, I will be pursueing this situation legally, I wonder....has anyone else had problems with this particular agency?

The US has way more deaths per head of population that any other developed country:

Gun deaths per 100 000 population (1999):

USA 10.58
Canada 3.34
Switzerland 6.28
Scotland 0.39
England/Wales 0.35
Japan 0.09

(Source: Harvard Injury Control Research Center, HELP Network, World Report on Violence and Health (World Health Organisation))

Having a gun is not a constitutional right - the Constitution says:-
"A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."

A guy with a handgun under his pillow does not consitute a well regulated militia, neither does a guy with a rifle on his wall or a guy with a gun tucked into his belt.
The word is 'People' with a capital 'P'. It is not to be confused with 'persons' as in persons wandering the streets with guns shooting at anything in sight.
A shame the majority of the US citizens do not understand their own laws.

This gentleman is the trustee of an insurance trust of which I am the income beneficiary. He is the managing partner of a large accounting firm in New York.

He has only sent me the income once out of the four years I have been eligible to collect. I do not want have to incur anymore legal expenses trying to get this guy to comply.

Is there a State Board of Accounting in New York?

Even with proper research, its difficult to find as many controversial aspects to a single politician of America's early days. Are people like Bush, Cheney, and those they associate with really that much worse than our country's early elected officials, given that we can link them to such a variety of ethical controversies?
