I live in Windsor Ontario Canada, and I was curious. At what age is it legal to move out of your parents house. And do you have to have their permission to do so? I really need to know. Only accurate answers please, refferences would be cool too. Lol. Thanks!

In Canada, you are considered an adult at the following ages:

CANADA-AGE OF MAJORITY BY PROVINCE:

Alberta: 18.
British Columbia: 19.
Manitoba: 18.
New Brunswick: 19.
Newfoundland: 19
Northwest Territories: 19.
Nova Scotia: 19.
Ontario: 18.
Prince Edward Island: 18.
Quebec: 18.
Saskatchewan: 18.
Yukon Territories: 19.

To become emancipated at an earlier age the following applies:

"Emancipation" is a process that from what I know is in place only in Quebec in Canada. According to the Civil Code of Quebec, a minor who is at least 16 may petition in court for his or her emancipation. This is not an easy process as the minor must basically prove he or she can live independently. This gives the minor many but not all rights of an adult.

The age of majority. In most states it is 18. Unless you have been "emancipated"...in which case it might be a much younger age. Emancipation is done through the court system. That's what makes it legal.
