i'm 7 months pregnant and my medicaid was recently cancelled because dhs requested more information at the last minute and didn't get an extension. then i got a bill for my ultrasound and a visit to the emergency room that should have been covered the reason for not being covered was because dhs failed to put my physicians name on my file. when i went to reapply, i took in the extra stuff they needed so they would have all my information. my boyfriend's ex girlfriend works as a receptionist there and told me i'd need to bring his social security number and a copy of his birth certificate in which i wondered about. now it seems that the copies of his check stubs have wound up at the child support office and she's trying to get his amount raised. if i'm not mistaken, when the papers are for dhs, they are confidential and for my file. isn't it a crime to remove a private document from a place like that. much less to try to use it for your own personal gain? what can i do about it?

I just got a $135 fine in NC for a making a U-Turn. Still it seems like the sign was posted less a week ago. I feel like the cop should have given me a warning instead of a fine. On top of it, he just went back and stopped somebody else right away. It seems almost illegal that they would try so openly to catch people doing some illegal just days after the traffic signal was put there. Do you think I should go to court and fight it?

I got caught going 85 in a 70. I don't deny that. I was hoping I might be able to go to a driving school to get the ticket taken off my record, but right at the top of the citation, it says "no driving school available," in big important bold letters. I figure there's no way I can plead not guilty, but if I go to court anyway (assuming the trooper shows up), how might i be able to plead for the fine to either be lowered or stricken from my record and sound professional about it? This is my first citation of any sort. Help?

baby within three years of marriage or have their marriage annulled? Here are the details of the Initiative:

Interesting story today: The Washington Defense of Marriage Alliance has introduced an initiative in the state legislature. Here are the details, as posted on their website at http://www.wa-doma.org/

- add the phrase, “who are capable of having children with one another” to the legal definition of marriage;
- require that couples married in Washington file proof of procreation within three years of the date of marriage or have their marriage automatically annulled;
- require that couples married out of state file proof of procreation within three years of the date of marriage or have their marriage classed as “unrecognized;”

What do you think of people that snort cocaine for recreation or for life? Are they scum, worthless, useless and every other epithet associated with drug users? Should it be their choice to use or not to (assuming they have no kids and fund their habit on their own) or does Uncle Sam have a right to say"no, no" and punish them with imprisonment?

I live in CA and my landlord filed for eviction due to nonpayment of rent. I was served and went to court a month later where the landlord's lawyer and I settled the matter ourselves. I signed a paper acknowledging that I would leave on my own will within two weeks (and I did). Do I have an eviction on my record? I know I owe them money and it is shown on my credit report, but do I technically have an eviction on my record? If so, which record?

2 days ago, on Sunday night, while coming home, I witnessed a pretty disturbing car accident happen right in front of me. There was a Ford pickup in front of me, and as we approached an intersection (our light was green) another car ran their red light and T-boned the pickup sending it to the other end of the intersection. I called the police, and stayed to give a statement. My question is, how long until this case goes to court? (The family of the driver of the pickup is suing for a wrongful death)

I've already talked to my manager & she says there is nothing she can do since thay are in their own home. I really don't want to move, but it seems like that is my only option.

Today I actually found out on my credit report that I have a civil judgment on my record. This was 6 to 7 years ago. I had no idea until now. Someone told me that it has accrued interest on the principle since the judgment was made. My question is what can I do about it and where do I start? Will it stay on my credit report even after I pay for it?
