I don't think there is unless you are in a union, and even then it's not guaranteed.
I started my job making only a quarter less then people who had been there for over 6 years.
It all depends on the management and what your position pays compared to the other ones.
I would take it up with your boss, maybe you can strike up some sort of deal, or express your concerns about how you think you are worth more to the company because of seniority.

Would you prefer to be paid by your competence or how long you have been in a company? There can be no law basing salary on length of service. Become the chief executive and make the rules if you don't like them

Hi Michelle.
No there isn't, it is all down to what was agreed when the employment contract was made.
I have been in situations where I was paid more than the manager, but I was more experienced and more qualified.

There are laws regarding ageism, or the equal pay act if you think you are being discriminated against because you are a woman. Although, it could have something to do with you not being able to form a sentence.

Don;t think so. Happens all the time-- pay is negotiated and based on experience, job level, etc. Get over it and worry about yourself.

No. It does seem like an indication you should be looking for a new job or asking for a raise--I'll leave it up to you which one.

Nope, tough luck. It is the employer's discretion to pay how ever much to whom ever they want.
