I just got a $135 fine in NC for a making a U-Turn. Still it seems like the sign was posted less a week ago. I feel like the cop should have given me a warning instead of a fine. On top of it, he just went back and stopped somebody else right away. It seems almost illegal that they would try so openly to catch people doing some illegal just days after the traffic signal was put there. Do you think I should go to court and fight it?

I think that from now on you will NEVER forget that there is a No U-turn sign there.
Not sure if that would be true if he just told you about it.

Good to know that you think inattentiveness behind the wheel is a defense to a traffic ticket.....

Guess if Junior runs out in front of you and you run him over your excuse would be "he wasn't there last week" so the cops should be lenient.
