got new windows put in by pure cowboys trading standards are involved, the windows look pure crap the finishing details are crap ,we have been trying to get things sorted since last september and we are hitting our heads against a brick wall anyway trading standards are on our side helping us they say the next thing we have to do is get an independant person out to look at the windows and report the faults which we know are already there anyway and the cowboys know them to although other faults have now arisen since they were out,the cost of an independant person from trading standards can cost £100-£150 which is expensive, why should i have to pay that when we already know whats wrong and this only means that the cowboys have to come back and try and fix their mess again-we have already had several attempts at that ,am i within my rights that when it comes to us paying our bill we should deduct this fee from it because if the job was done right first time we wouldnt be here

I tell all the people, that hate America, as I do. The police just stormed intoi my home, the POLIC said that because my door wasn't locked that they had to right to. There was a marijuana pipe in my home, and even know it wasn't mine, threatened to arrest me if, if I didn't sign their ticket. And just to let the rest of the world know (since they hold us resposible--and we just want the rest of the world to SAVE US), Our driving, traffic, whatever tickets you want to call them, prohibit us from any job that isn't minimum wage. It differs state to state, on Ohio, here, $5.15/hr. (and oh so preceding to $6.85/hr.) And rent is generally $500.00 a month. You do the math. So stop bitching about Americans being ****. Because we are enslaved. SO STOP HATING US AND HELP US.
We didn't even vote for Bush, neither term! His father was the head of the CIA before becoming president. Everything has been a lie. Why don't you save Us?

A recent report said that one local authority (England) stopped firefighters from using ladders because they were too risky (Health & Safety at Work issue presumably). If this is the case, should they really be going into burning buildings with all the attendant risks, or working with dangerous or potentially lethal chemicals/fumes etc...?

Or would Moneymart because they said it would not be taken out of the bank account untill a later time?

This has nothing to do with Big Brother

I am very unhappy with Norwich Union Insurance. Yesterday I called to find out about a claim that was recently made on a non fault accident, to find out if they had got in touch with the third party and clain our excess back from them. I was asked to hold which I did and then was spoken to by an Indian woman. I then asked where she was and when she said india i put the phone down.

I called back and I think i spoke to the same person that i spike to originally and told him that I will not speak to anyone in india about my insurance from a british company. he then told me that he would be losing his job as the company were transfering the call centre to india. I know people dont like call centres but it does give piople jobs in our country and people can understand our languaage but I feel that moving to india is taking jobs from this county and unem, ployment is bad enough as it is and will only get worse if call centres move to india

Jade Goody has now got to go into a safe house to be protected after certain comments made in the BB house. Hook, however was allowed to preach in the street for a long time. All the hype and tv interviews that were happening at no point gave or allowed an opinion to defend or allow how white Brits feel today Jade. Fair debate?? I believe that the whole Goody /Shilpa thing has heightened the rumblings that are in society of people being fed up with not being allowed to be white and British and proud. Our government wont defend us, allow us freedom of speech, our local council wont allow us to vent frustration on lack of housing for our children when we watch others come into the country receiving handouts and homes. The list could go on. Yes the UK is racist, but who are the racists?

I am a translator hired by an agency to do a translation for a client of the agency. Long story short: the agency is making me look responsible for everything that went wrong in their project and their client is backing them up. The agency refuses to pay me and has informed me that if I were to go to Small Claims they would sue *me* for their damages (ie extra cost for review of my initial translation). The fact/truth is that I stand by my work in the conditions imposed on me to do it and I have my good conscience for me. But I am scared to go to Small Claims now!
According to the Law here in California, can an agency sue an outsider like a contractor/vendor-freelance translator like me for their own decisions, made without informing me?!
SO...should I follow my conscience and defend myself and ask a Judge in Small Claims to rule on this issue?
This is what I would like to do and think/feel I should do.
BUT...I NEED to know to which extent an agency can blame a translator. THANKS

There was an incident on tv. Where 3 girls attacked only one. I've seen these incidents on tv several times before. Don't you think by hanging such people. The rates of these inhuman and barbaric crimes would decrease considerably and these people would be removed form the populations' gene pool very effectively ?

If I were up in DC, I'd say to hell with all those other countries. We made Japan a freaking world power, we're shooting China's market into the sky, and otherwise saved other countries from being dominated by some Dicto-Commi regime.

And not even a thank you?

Just want some advice.

Planning a trip to England in April; had been hunting for cheap flights online. Found some for $1600 return, so approached a travel agent to see if they could better the deal.

The agent offered $1500, so I took them up on the deal.

I arranged to pay for the tickets a couple of days later.

Went in to the agents and paid the $1500, signed the dotted line, etc, etc, was given my itinerary. All seemed good.

HOWEVER...

The next morning the agent rang and said the airline had canceled my tickets because 'the offer had expired'. They said they had found me another flight, which would total roughly $1800 +.

I rang the airline direct and asked about the canceled tickets. They said that the seats were still available and that they had me on the system and that it was the agent who had canceled my tickets.

So, my question is, as it stands, because of professional error I stand to have to fork out a stack of extra cash.

Should I fight this one or no leg to stand on?
