I purchased one mobile phone with free mobile set and free line rental (by way of redemption).By the time of purchase they agreed to give all the line rental by 5 equal installments. For my first installment I sent my paid bills to the dealer but they rejected my request stating that I did not sent the invoice/welcome letter. It was not stated in the agreement.Any way I sent the said invoice also but no reply. I would like to know whether I can lodge a complaint to any appropriate authority or cancel my 12 month contract after five months.

Thank goodness, most of America is against the death penalty. But we are indeed giving many more rights and also medical care to lifers than the average poor person, struggling in her/his freedom, can obtain.
What can we take away? I mean, aren't they glad this isn't Singapore where the criminals are given doctors during severe beatings, just so that they can be revived to take more lashes?

I have to go back to court for a DUI. I've been in jail for something totally different and am trying to get things sorted out again with getting a job, family etc. I don't think I have a drink problem but would it help to sign up to AA or something like that so the judge might see I'm trying to do something positive and give me a chance?

I think both are related, and can't be brutally separated. However, let us consider this case.

Let us say in a not-so-liberal country, a film was banned because "it jeopardise national security" (sorry for my lame English),"it depicts explicit sexual images"......... and everyone in that country knows those are just excuses used more than 1000 times. The leader simply don't want the people see the film because that will threaten his/her ruling.

In this case, should the people get a copy of that film, in the name of liberty? Or should they respect the law? (let us say that country is still considered democratic, but since the majority are narrow-minded, no one protested the banning)

Rule of law or Liberty?

it seems everytime something happens to them it must be because they are muslims...it is the same with some black people and gay people...they have a chip on their shoulder and everything goes wrong because of who they are and everyone esle is a biggot...i read where a muslim doesn't want to accept passengers in his taxi if they have alcohol with them...and it should be freedom of religion for him to refuse passengers...is it fair for muslims to force their religion on the general public like this...they are serving the general public by being a cabby...it is just selfish stupidity..they can find different jobs...

I like many others am fed-up with being censored over some innocuous question or comment by people who live in such a feather-bedded world they have to find offence in anything. However, unlike these examples, I agree that denying the Holocaust should not be a crime as the sort of people who do are not to be taken seriously and criminalising it would mean they were being taken seriously. But I believe censorship should exist in other ways - obviously you have to look at your audience and you wouldn't wish a ten year old to see a picture of a particularly nasty corpse and mostly, by publicising 'Happy Slapping' the media did us all a disservice by advertising this particularly nasty pastime to particularly nasty kids all over, just in order to get more news stories out of it. This is really a general question about censorship and would like your views. I also think that rather than a question is removed without trial just because someone doesn't like it, it should be put to the vote.
