it seems everytime something happens to them it must be because they are muslims...it is the same with some black people and gay people...they have a chip on their shoulder and everything goes wrong because of who they are and everyone esle is a biggot...i read where a muslim doesn't want to accept passengers in his taxi if they have alcohol with them...and it should be freedom of religion for him to refuse passengers...is it fair for muslims to force their religion on the general public like this...they are serving the general public by being a cabby...it is just selfish stupidity..they can find different jobs...

Playing the victim is a big part of the Muslim religion. Their religion allows them to use violence when they feel they are under attack. This rule is especially true in cases where they feel that they need to use violence to protect Islam from infidels.

What they do is constantly moan about how they are the victims and then when some terrorist does something truly horrible, they just say that they were martyrs for a just cause.

Playing the victim card is also how they recruit people to become martyrs in the first place. "See how the infidels are attacking Islam!!! Allah is calling you to make the sacrifice to bring honor to him and all true believers."

The case you site is of Muslims refusing to transport passengers who are carrying alcohol. My understanding is that their religion prohibits them from transporting alcohol themselves. So if their passengers are carrying it and they carry the passengers, they are going against their religion.

Try to put this in context.

Cabbies work for private companies and more often than not are "stakeholders" in the business (own their own cars or a share in them). Like cab drivers who refuse to allow people to smoke in their cars, these cab drivers have exercised their right to refuse to carry certain passengers.

To be honest with you, if I was a cab driver I would not allow someone visibly carrying alcohol in my car, and not for religious reasons. Drinkers are the most obnoxious and dangerous passengers imaginable. Airlines can (and do) refuse to carry people who are drunk or who are carrying open containers, why not cabbies?

I believe in today's world lots of people (not all) like to blame someone else for their problems. We live in a society that wants what we want now and to heck with the consequences. It's much easier to blame someone then to admit to our own faults and mistakes.
