i was just reading what you wrote and yes they ,are at fault. i had $17,000 taken from my checking account by my own brother. i have the proof that he did do it but the banks excuse for dropping the charges against him was,"i took too long to file the charges." but see i was in a car accident and in a coma for 1 month 15 days. brother stole my checks and forged my name, what can i do about that?

I personally hate it. How do you think you'll take it when they take your arms, home, and money. They will do this all in the name of social condition and need. If someone needs your house or car they will just walk up and take it. And it will be illegal for you to do anything about it. How about when your kids are in school and you can't go get them out because they are on buses headed to concentration camps. All of this is a matter of factual information. see www.bornagainchristian.org

I understand what happens if I DON'T claim the income, I could get in trouble, but what if I claim it and he doesn't? I have name and address of the company, he claims to not speak very good English (I have all of my totals for what I have been paid, although he hasn't taken out taxes, being a waitress I would still qualify for EITC) and so if I claim on my W2 the total that he paid me for the year. . . what happens if he turns in NOTHING that corresponds with my ss#??

Can a company force you to take a weeks paid vacation if you have not yet accrued that week, thus becoming indebted to them for the time you have yet to accrue? I say it's against the law. I know it is, but can't find any language to back up my claim. Any suggestions? I can't find it on the U.S. Dept of Labor website.

I was at Ikea and found a ring and did the right thing and turned it in along with my name and number in case it was not claimed. They told me that their policy was to keep it for 3 months. SO I went back after 3 months to claim it and now they tell me their policy is to keep valuable items for 6 months then dispose of it by giving it to a charity of their choice. Do I have any rights of posession as I am the finder or does Ikea have the right to dispose of found items without involvement?

It's ridiculous! Craigslist is promoting prostitution, which is ILLEGAL in most states, by allowing them to post ads for free! How does Craigslist get away with this? Arent there any legal issues that they have to go through?

Many of these ads arent even ambiguous....they are all OBVIOUSLY ads for prostitution.

How are we supposed to clean up our towns when nothing is being done about prostitution, and when websites like Craigslist allow prostitutes to post ads?

Can anything be done about this?

Would appreciate attorney, and or paralegal to respond.

I work at an office where there is a non smoking law. You have to be 30 feet away from the building. Several employees continue to ignore the signs, and continue to light up. Myself and several coworkers have made complaints to the correct source, however, the person in charge, is a smoker themself, and fail to do anything. What other options can we pursue legally? We are fed up.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

What kind of 'bill' could Bush sign (if he would) that would allow hardworking homemakers to get paid??

Hi everyone. I'm a South American currently living in the United States as an asylee (refugee). I applied for my green card half a year ago; I'm still waiting for it to come in.
I turn 18 in four days, and my friends want to take me clubbing. The thing is, I can't prove I'm 18!
They wouldn't let me get a Driver's License or a State ID because I didn't have enough identification. Isn't that messed up? But my passport and my Refugee Travel Document have been expired for years. I want to renew them, but it's so expensive.
One of my friends mentioned using my birth certificate. It's in Spanish, but I do have a translation. Oh, and I also have my social security number, to prove I'm not an illegal. I also have a school ID; but it doesn't have my birth date on it. I don't know if any of this helps, though.
I just want to have a fun time on my 18th b-day! Please help...

Treason, sedition mean disloyalty or treachery to one's country or its government. Treason is any attempt to overthrow the government or impair the well-being of a state to which one owes allegiance; the crime of giving aid or comfort to the enemies of one's government. Sedition is any act, writing, speech, etc., directed unlawfully against state authority, the government, or constitution, or calculated to bring it into contempt or to incite others to hostility, ill will or disaffection; it does not amount to treason and therefore is not a capital offense. 2. See disloyalty.
