I got recently got a ticket 2 weeks ago in Wisconsin. I live in Illinois. Today, I got a few letters in the mail about attorneys asking if I needed them to appear in court with me.
My parents have no clue I got this ticket, so I was wondering if it would be beneficial to hire one. One of them said it's possible that they may just take it off of my insurance all together and driving record, as well. If it goes well, would they mail something to my house?
How common is it that hiring an attorney would actually in fact, lower my citation fine and insurance?
...Let's keep in mind- my fine is $501.00...

Authors of our constitution & amendments explained clearly what each measure meant, such as whose rights they would protect, how, why, etc. A vital part of the give and take necessary to reach agreement.

Descriptive speeches to congress were also recorded (written) and saved for posterity.

All can be made readily available to the court.

Supreme Court Justices interpret ONLY the words, as written and are not required to review the explanations that led to ratification. (Remember: legislators must be re-elected, often; Justices, by no say of ppl, stay in for life)

Their decisions are often hotly disputed in chambers, seen as nonsensical by the people and cause strife for years.

Q: Should the Court be required to base their interpretations on what the authors and congress said and wrote in order to reach agreement and ratify?

This is only possible by amendment.

In Favor?
Opposed?

One of the most disturbing epidemics in existence in society at present is the exponential increase of false accusations. Along with this is the fact that false allegations have been used to convict innocent males for crimes they did not commit, even when there is evidence that the accusation made was indeed false. The law system is no longer using solid evidence to determine whether a defendant is innocent or guilty of the crime they are accused of committing. Instead, the system is relying almost solely on the accusation that was made. Most accusations tend to be made by females. The prosecution no longer obtains evidence to support the legitimacy of an accusation; instead, they proceed to trial based on the "word" of the accuser.

I'm sending a package to an american friend. the package contains a few explicit items(nothing illegal) but they will be packed as a private package. My question is what Items are likely to get searched or withheld if the package is scanned.
what categories of items are withheld for search during entry in the us. Any help would be much appreciated specially from any US customs people. I'd like to be sure before I send out my package

I recently got fired from a "big box" retail store. I saw a guy in the restroom drinking beer that he took off the shelf. I did NOT see the guy take the beer off the shelf, therefore, i am not sure if it was even his beer or the stores beer. At this point. So i followed the guy out of the store and stopped him and said "Hey i have a question for you! Stop!" at which point he turned around and said "Yeah I stole the beer, i stole it and drank it all here. i have more." And he handed me 2 more cans of beer. That's all i said. I didnt ask anything else, he confessed to stealing. So I brought him back into the store, called the cops, and sent him on his way. I was fired because I did not see the man take the beer off the shelf. I "violated" a loss prevention policy. Do I have lawsuit capabilities since my intentions were to protect the company, it's assets, associates, and customers???

My brother was recently assaulted by a chain store mechanic in the stores 'garage'. My brother had brought a tire in to be repaired and was told there would be a 3 hour wait. Since he was traveling home for Christmas, he did not want to wait the 3 hours and decided to go to a tire store down the road. My brother turned to leave, exiting the the way he was led in by another store
employee. At this time the manager became angry and yelled at my brother 'not to walk thru his shop'. My brother continued to walk towards the door. Please mind that this is the way he came in and the side where his car was parked, AND it's raining. He is standing less than 5 ft from the exit gate. As he tries to leave, the manager pulls back on the gate and swings it with force. The gate swung all the way thru and hit my brother hard enough to leave a welt and a bruise. The videotape has been viewed by the higher ups and now they are asking my brother what he wants for compensation. Comments? Suggestions?

Like the right to be held accountable for your actions? I mean, if I had sex with a 14 year old girl, I doubt that I would get house arrest like Debra Lafave (the Florida school teacher that had sex with her 14 year old student). What do you folks think about that?

Can the site operator be sued and forced to shut down because its members are posting photos of men who they claim are cheaters and "players"? I'm not defending the players and cheaters, but they can always file suit and claim slander and defamation by having their photos publicly posted on a website that purports to warn women about men who cheat. Is what this site doing legal?

My father is in prison and still has 22 years to go on his sentence for multiple sex crimes and repeat offenses. He has congestive heart failure. Heart problems run in our family and all of my siblings have had a cardiac issue at least once while growing up, although none has been nearly as serious as his. The prison doctor says his heart is failing rapidly, but said it was hard to tell how long he actually has to live. So I was just wondering.

I recently kicked out my room mate... She had promised to either fix her damages or pay for them. At first she said she would sign a "promise to pay" note now refuses. I have substancial evidence that she did infact live with me... Even though she did not sign the lease and I also have pictures of her room before, during, and after she moved in and out. The damages we caused by her dog. And I feel I can prove that. With all this evidence would a judge rule in my favor even without her promis to pay note?

If you are unaware of what Jury Nullification why not wirte your State Congressman and ask him/her..

Following that, you could write him/her a second letter telling him/her of your opinion on Jury Nullification.
