If alcohol is legalized, why not marijuana and cocaine? Not advocating it, but it seems to me we could put our law enforcements' time to better use.

E.g. Insurance companies want SSNs before they will issue a policy or rate an additional driver for a policy.

As far as I've heard, the SSN is to be used for tax purposes only. Many businesses use SSN as a client identifier rather than coming up with their own numbering schema. SSN system is the intellectual property of the Social Security Administration, thus not to be used by others for record management purposes.

And just a peave of mine, I think the real reason insurance companes want the SSN is to pull credit reports as data to justify increased rates, under the cloak of "managing financial risk". Gee, if a person has poor credit, does it make sense to make things more expensive for them?

If Rep.-elect Keith Ellison, the first Muslim elected to Congress, will use a Quran once owned by Thomas Jefferson during his ceremonial swearing-in Thursday then he is definitely making a mockery of the Quran and exposing his own lack of understanding of the Quran and Islam and his rebellion to the commands of Allah.

Some critics have argued that only a Bible should be used for the swearing-in and they are perfectly right since the God of USA in whom "We trust" is a 3nitty and has absolutely nothing to do with Allah.

The Bible is not Revelation and the Quran should no be placed alongside Bible to give Bible equality with the Quran.

A Muslim swears by Allah with the index finger of the right hand upright to signify the Oneness of Allah and not with the Quran.

The Quran was not sent down as a book and has no right in the Court of Disbelievers.

The Musim is not allowed to legislate outside of Quran allows and doing so cannot be compared with eating pork to stay alive.

Not all good Americans feel evil towards America, but some do. The ones who lie and say things like 911 was an inside job done by the American Gov. Well I also see that at least one of those nut jobs are of Arabs decent sounds like Morge and he has his own radio talk show radio talk show sounds like (Most to most am) and the sponsors indorses this kind of talk or why would they sponsor it? Sponsored terrorism indeed,Gov. Why is he still alive and free. What he does is help the terrorist. So why is he free and alive. Free speech falls into a not with standing clause in America. You have free speech but you can not slander with lies or it can become a law suit on your head. So why is he free to do this evil that is done with no regards to the men and women who died serving their country, They died according for an evil Gov, They wasted their lives dieing for America according to this guy. And you wonder why America is so hated? It is because of people like this that tell such lies to ignorant people who can not even read a news paper . He is feeding the enemy exactly what they need. Resolve and justification to kill even more Americans. Is that not helping the enemy while the nation is at war?

Can someone please help me out? I'm 16 years old and my parents gave me a computer for christmas. They say that because they paid for it they can watch every thing that I do on it. Now, I'm not doing anything wrong. But, I hate not having any privacy. It drives me crazy when I come home and my computers on and the history bar is open. It's such a huge invasion of privacy! So, my question is; is it legal for my parents to go through all of my files and look at what I've been doing? And if it is, is there anything I can do about it?

When in court as a witness you are sworn in. You place your right hand on a Bible and raise your left hand and repeat an oath "I swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help me God." Well what if you believe in God but your faith does not hold the Bible in highest regard? What if you do not believe in God? Are there variations to this swearing in like the variation to the oath of office that they will use in Congress tomorrow where they will use a Quran to swear a new Musilm member of Congress?

Does anyone remember the 1970 made for TV movie "The Brotherhood of the Bell"?
Starring Glenn Ford & Rosemary Forsyth. It was a thriller about a young man who, while in college, was inducted into a secret & mysterious fraternity (Skull & Bones?). Upon attaining wealth & prominence, he discovers that the "Brotherhood" has been keeping tabs on him, and expects certain favors from him. It dawns on him that the Bell is a sinister, subversive organization bent on world domination. When he tries to bring this to the attention of the public on TV, he is mocked & humiliated.
I don't want to give the rest of the plot away but this movie seemed to dissapear very quickly from everywhere but it has become a cult movie & very hard to find. It's rummored that "the powers that be" have gotten rid of all copies because they don't want the public to see it. I finally managed to get a copy after searching for years & at great expense. It was scary then and even scarier now considering everything that's going on in our government. Who remembers it?

I moved into a house on friday. We still aren't even unpacked and have a huge problem....the house has fleas everywhere!! They are biting my kids and making us all misrable. Well the landlords had the house sprayed before we moved in, but apparently the eggs hatched and now there is a new flea problem. they are paying to have the house sprayed again to get rid of the problem. The only thing is, we have been advised by the pest control, since we have small children ( 2 year old twins) We should leave the house for 24 hours to make sure the chemicals on the carpets are all dry so that way the kids wont get them on them. The landlords won't pay for the hotel. Do you think they should? Would you push the issue or dish out the hotel fees? Anyone know what our rights are? Thanks!!!!

The child is 16, her sister is recieving monies for this child and they are living in a 2 bedroom house with a total of 15 people. The sister spends the money from ssi for her 4 children and herself. Christmas the child got 2 out fits and a pair of 6.99 shoes when the other children got bikes and name brand shoes. I'm aware the 16 yr old mother and father is deceased and shes living with a uncle and his girlfriend to exscape being a babysitter for 8 young children. To get $10 from her sister she has to agree to do all the laundry for 2 sisters. I need to find a way to get her out of the situation before she looses her sanity. Shes expressed how she wants to leave but don't have anywhere to go. The older sister is taking money from government that suppose to be to help take care of the younger sister and is taking care of herself and children. While the 16 yr old gets nothing but hand me downs.

Tony was riding his mountain bike along an unmade road. He saw Joan, his former girlfriend, walking with her new boyfriend, Jack. Tony was still upset that Joan had left him for Jack. He went past Joan and Jack as fast as he could, deliberately shouting "Boo" as he went past them. Joan was startled by the shout and jumped into the edge of the road where she slipped and fell into a ditch, suffering bruising. Question is, what's Tony's criminal liability in this case?
