I love Pit Bulls. They are the true AMERICAN dogs not to mention the most aesthetically pleasing canine.

No. Pit bulls are actually some of the nicest dogs there are- Fed well and not kept on a chain in the yard. It should be illegal to underfeed your dog and to keep it chained in the yard. You should have a fence if you're going to let the dog outside.
It's the way the dog is raised and treated that determines how it will act, not some genetic thing.

Ontario Canada too already banned.
they dog should be banned .
a few less then 100 should be kept alive and held in a vet training university. but never allowed to be owned by a private person .
the punks that own them and put leather collars with spikes on them and can not begin to hold the dog back when it wants to go should be helped too .
i think the vet university should use them to train the vets how to spay and neuter . i figure it the same for animals as people so why not help the punks and help the vets too.

No.
I recall a report a while back that said Dalmations are most likely to turn on their own owners... so by that logic, Dalmations should be banned or owning a Dalmation should be banned.
The link below has some stats on pit bulls.

No ... I don't think it is fair to generalize and ban a specific breed of dog .... nature and nurture go hand in hand and I have met just as many dogs that are supposedly aggressive but very gentle as I have met yappy, mean dogs. Bottom line is pet owners need to be responsible and take precautions so everyone is protected.

Pit bulls cause more damage to humans/children than any other species of dog.
They are bred for fighting ability and I think this wrong.
They could be bred to be safer but I would hesitate to trust one.
I was a victim of a dog bite.

It is in their nature to be violent animals, its not their fault, but I think they should be confined to the country far away from children.
