is a .50 caliber desert Eagle illigal in California?

I'm wondering if the .50 Desert Eagle is illigal in California. I'm not sure if it is illigal to own a .50 desert eagle because Governor swartsenegger has banned the M-82A1-, a .50 sniper rifle capable of piercing armor.

.50cal pistol is not .50 browning ... shouldnt be a problem ...

The Desert Eagle, while a .50 weapon, does not shoot the same size rounds as the M-82. There are no laws preventing the ownership of the Desert Eagle in California
