what does california law say abt talking on phone while driving?
using handsfree is allowed?

Driving is hard enough these days. If you don't talk on the phone, hands free or not, you will be better able to concentrate on all the idiots behind the wheel these days!

I think hands free is O.K. I don't think the law is in effect about not using a cell phone while driving yet. I think that starts in July. In any case, I can't wait. Some idiot making an illegal u-turn in an intersection on Market Street (San Francisco) almost did me in while I was very legally going through the intersection on my bike in the bike lane. Of course while he was making this illegal turn he was yapping on the phone too.

handsfree is ok, but not in traffic. the best law against it is hangup and drive...save a life.
