Hmmm.....Gassing people and dropping them into wood chippers, and plastic shreaders was less cruel and more dignified? How foolish and ignorant you are.

They were originally to hang on the same day but it was decided to hang only Saddam for the theatre of it all. They will hang on a different day hopefully without a camera present. One thing puzzles me though why is it that people who insist on capital punishment have a problem viewing or letting their children view the execution. They should feel proud of their accomplishment.

cruel and undignified? what the heck r u talking about? he tortured a lot of people and u think hanging him was cruel and undignified? don't u have anyone in ur life that u love? what if someone had torture them? say someone chopped then up in a wood chipper...would hanging that person be cruel and undignified? no. so, yes, hopefully his co-defendants will recieve the same execution as him because they deserve it, but to say it was cruel and undignified is just wrong.

I would say that it will be far different.
The phone cam I watched of Saddam's hanging (all of it) was posted on YouTube the same day. It was an undignified event for a former leader of a country, whether you liked him or not. The cell phone recording was apparently made by a high member of Iraqi's government!

cruel? he tortured millions, made them die a slow painful death and he gets his neck broke inside of 2 seconds....and thats cruel?
he should of been slowly stoned to death over hours of time and allowing each family that he hurt to throw a stone.
mature some to how the world works....even the bible states to take an eye for an eye and the bible does speak of hanging. so can't be that bad now can it.
