Like the right to be held accountable for your actions? I mean, if I had sex with a 14 year old girl, I doubt that I would get house arrest like Debra Lafave (the Florida school teacher that had sex with her 14 year old student). What do you folks think about that?

If they are 100% equal, yes. Many women want 'selective equality'. They want only the good things.

Men and women should be equal but we rear girls and boys together. It's societies view points that make it unequal.

Now if a male teacher was to have sex with a female student than all hell would break loose. Women don't need to be sexually aroused per say to have sex.

Now with a male student people say if he was able to get it up he wanted it and consented but even in fear situations a male can get an erection with stimulation.

Also if a male student had sex with his female students people would be patting him on the back for a job well done. Plus there is some negative stigma attached to a male if he said he was forced or raped.

I'm not saying it is right because in my opinion whether that under age male or female said yes it is still statutory rape. Both female and male should be punished equally for the same crime.

I also read in a magazine that adult females who have gotten pregnant by their underage male partners have sued for child support and won. That is horrible in my opinion. I think they shouldn't get compensated from their victim for their crime

Yes women should have to be held even more accountable than men. Now in terms of rights, if a woman can hold up her end of the stick then yes she should get the same rights. If she cannot and must ask the man for help, she should not get the same rights. Same is true for men also. It is that I see more and more men becoming women in men's bodies. That is because women have convinced them it is not ok to be a real male.

Heck I am female and I'm all about equal opportunity. If I commit the same crime as a man it should be equal punishment.

If I apply for the same job as a man and he has same skill and ability as me, but has some skill or education (etc.) that makes him better for the job than me. I would rather him get than me because they need to met their female employee quota.

If you have to life at least 60lbs for the job as a man, but as a woman you can only life say 55lbs and nothing more no matter what. If they lower it to 50lb for women... they should lower it to 50 lbs for men. (and the weight was just an example)

One thing people have yet to understand is the genders ARE different. Women can do something better than men. And there are things men can just do better than women.

In cases like this yes, their as*es need to go to jail for a long time!! I hate the double standard they have for these women. They are just as criminal as the men who do this. We can all thank our freakin' feminazis in this Country for this. Where the hell are they on this one? Do we hear them? NOPE!

I pray that one day N.O.W. will be obliterated. They claim women are equal to men, ummm, helloooooo, what about this!?!

No matter what, women will never be equal to men, but when a crime is committed there should be no difference on the punishment. I'm getting really sick of hearing these CRIMINAL women abusing kids, abusing our laws and abusing our justice system. Sorry guys, I really hate this! I do hope that you all call, write or email your congressmen, sinators and any elected officials to help stop this double standard that the N.O.W. and stupid feminazis have created. SHAME ON THEM!!

Unfortunately there are many double standards in life. Mary Kay Latourneau repeatedly broke the law and finally after four times was sent to jail. I knew a male teacher who molested a student and got 15 years in prison.

Elena Bobbitt sexually mutilated her husband and didn't get any jail time because "she was mad and thought she was cheated on." If a man sexually mutilated a woman he wouldn't see the light of day.

That is the unfortunate world we live in.

Men and women should be treated equally, but the fact of the matter, it does not always happen that way. The same goes for regular people and celebrties, there is a big difference in the way they are treated and prosecuted.

Men and women should be treated equally both in the eyes of the Law, and in the eyes of the public. There is no rational legitimate reason to treat men and women differently.
