my mother-inlaw is a bad drunk and when she is drunk she gets mean. my sister inlaw wants aways from and wants to come and live with my wife who is her sister in florida. they live in north carolina and i have no idea on what i need to do. we want her to come live with us so she can get get away from that. as my mother inlaw drinks she drinks more and more each time. please if anybody knows anything that we can do please help and let us know. thanks and god bless.

You need to contact the child protective services in the county where she lives and then petition the court in the county for guardianship. That will hinge upon the cps cooperating with you and having the mother's parental rights either temporarily or permanently removed or terminated until she can go through treatment and get her act together. This will not be easy but the cps should know what is going on and then help you to gain at least temporary custody/guardianship.

I don't have any legal background but I think you can try calling the local authorities over there and ask to speak with child protective services. You and your wife mostly likely have to fly over there and have a court case.

ahhhh....im so sry, i have no idea, maybe take her to court and if ur sis in law doesnt wanna live with her mom then ull prolly get custody of her, i wish i could help! but im only 14 too

You might also look into having her become an "emancipated minor" which means she would legally be an adult and could move wherever she wants.

report your mother-in-law to child protection agency.
