its my first court date for a felony,and its called a counsal status hearing,i have a lawyer already....
so whats it for?

A status hearing is one intended to: determine the final charge before commencement of the trial, demand or waive a jury trial, and enter or change the defendant's plea.

So your attorney can go on record that you have cousnel.
