depends on whether or not they know who did it. if the people that were pranked called doesn't know who did it or didn't report it then there is nothing that can be done. but on that note there is a law for harassment and prank calls fall in it. it depends on how many times the calls were made and what was said. each call made would be 1 misdemeanor charge, the misdemeanor can add quick and then if there are several of them the commonwealth attorney can direct indict the case to circuit court. the fine is depending on the state, but there will be a fine for each charge and therefore that can add up too.

Any type of a prank call is ilegal and should be reported to the phone company. The person making the calls could loose his/her phone. And if it is often that you get the calls and you know who it is, the police can arrest him/her for harrasment. Get a recorder and caller ID and save your phone statements for the police.

Depends on what damage you did. Whether non-threatening or not, someone has to file charges. I can't imagine some Scrooge pressing charges because you wanted to know if he had Prince Albert in a can. What are his damages? Emotional distress?

probably nothing unless the people you called really wanted to be hard a-s-s-es about it and report you. the most you'd probably get is a slap on the wrist anyway as long as you don't curse or make any threats.

dunno...but when i was a kid i used to make loads..it was fun at the time...but these days you will probably get into trouble if they find you out
