Depends. . . My understanding is that you have less points on your "graduated" license than the regular licenses have. If you lose enough points, you lose your license until you are of the age they are stating you get your regular license (18, I think).

I think I would be more worried about how many points you are going to lose, and if you will still be a licensed driver. . .

And "ruth" - the law is for those young drivers under the age of 18 (here in WI). They are not allowed to have more than one other person of their age group in their vehicle with them. It is meant to reduce the occurance of stupid driving by young teens. It has worked wonders in Wisconsin. . .

Rule number 1 about traffic citations...always fight them...they can not raise your fine or points because you are fighting it...but the officer has to show up on the day of your hearing, or the ticket will be dropped. Very often, if you can come up with any defense at all, and you are respectful, the magistrate will at the very least reduce the fine and or points. Good luck

In NY you would be fined $25 for every mph you excided. Then court cost. And I have never heard of a law saying you can only have one person in a car. I hope NY never gets that law, doesn't make sense. What if you have 3 kids. do you leave 2 home. That is stupid.
