Personal experience ,you can call the secretary and have someone picking up for you ,or go get it yourself ,they cannot deny you its against the law ,they can be jerks and make you wait until the last min,if you quit without notice or anything else that happen .
But i know this because i own my business .
Happy filling ,many places can file with your last pay stub like Jack & Hewitt..
H&R block need the W2.
I hope this helps .

Employers surely have till January thirty first to mail out the W-2's so there is not something you could extremely do now any techniques. in case you do not acquire it by Mid-February you could fill out an option W-2 form the place you could state why you probably did not get it. consequently there is not something you will possibly desire to pass after him for, however the IRS could touch him. are you able to have confidence your pal at this place to get your W2 and mail it to you on her very own?

If your previous employer had a payroll service or accountant give them a call.
Perhaps a mail box is a good idea? Get one for a month and after you get your W2 dump the box.

have someone call in pretend as tax prepare/accountant or bull.shi.t lawyer ...and request a copy of w2 under your name. They will trigger to ask for your written permission to release then bogus up a letter fax over and request immediate release of your w2.

You will have to call and tell them you will pick it up- or get a postal box for a month and have them send it there.

You might ask if you can stop and pick it up.
But... why wouldn't you want your old employer knowing your new address... curious thing.

You could call them and go pick it up. Pretty hard to do because they normally mail them out.

You can contact your employer and arrange to pick it up yourself, or ask them to mail it to another location.
