Parenting is not easy and the people have to have a licence for a dog, a car and a TV. So does it not stand to reason they need a licence to have children...

Also children face no punishment these day's an ASBO is seen as some badge of honour, and they all break them anyway..

Should we bring back the stocks.... and should we bring back the cane in schools, even as a threat of a detterent it may do some good.

Recently my unmarried brother died in California. He has no will that we know of. I am the closest survivor (sister). However, his retirement from work listed the beneficiary as my other brother (deceased in 2001). Don't know if I am also listed or not. The other brother had a child and wife (not the mother of said child). I am not mercenary, but wonder what's in it for me.

OK....say you are a man and you accidentally or on purpose get pregnant. So you do. Then the woman who impregnates you decides you cannot have it and you will have to go get an abortion because she said she does not want it. You have no choice in the matter. Can the woman decide what you can do with your body or to have that child or not?

Perhaps, genetic experiments on humans were to be legalized or illegalized. Would you accept it or reject it? I am not joking in this question. Consider this research on opinions.

EXAMPLE.........Say if a woman says she has had a hysterectomy and then got pregnant...And she knew very well that her partner never wanted a child Should that man have a right to say what happens to the fetus/unborn ....he never wanted or was prepared for
Is that fair ?

Personally i think that a male should have equally rights in that matter...and there should be a law to protect males who are lied/tricked into pregnancy ......No one should be tricked into somthing like that.
If she wants to keep the pregnancy and not abort then she should be fully responsible for the expense and not be allowed to sue for child support

I've been working as a temp for 11 months as a concierge/receptionist on a full time basis, mainly night shifts, but have also done a fair bit of day shifts. There has been a permanent position available for a few weeks now and I want to get it. Someone told me that they have to offer it to me first before they can advertise or give it to someone else. I want to get it. But want to know what my rights are and where I can seek legal help in order to get the position in case they decide not to give it to me.

I work for a pub thats about 4.5 miles from my home. New people have just taken over. I work late nights 3 times a week, and they won't provide me a taxi. The people that used to work there allowed me taxis home. I was walking home tonight, and got picked up by the police.

Also, they won't sub me on my wages. I have been there 3 weeks, and literally have no money, no food, no toiletries ect. Any ideas how I can solve that dilemma? I can't ask anyone, cause no one I know has any cash at all, we are all in the same boat, except I have just run out of stuff... =S

Just curious what response I get out here…
I work in an entry level position at a small but prestigious public relations firm in my hometown. One of the older higher ups (50ish) has been known to get a kick out of hitting on associates waaaaay younger than he is. He always said stuff to me but nothing too graphic so I let it slide. However, it escalated last week. Here are some details: We have so called “huddle rooms” at work that are basically small rooms with a desk designed for small group discussions or meetings. We were both early for a meeting in one of the huddle rooms when he made a move. He told me that I should wear skirts more often and then copped a quick feel of my legs. Nothing drastic but touching is touching. I brought it up informally with coworkers but most just laugh it off. So I go the legal formal route or should I just go vigilante and slap the old dude next time? I don’t want to drag this out in office rumors but a slap would do the job I think.

What experiences have you had with crooked cops?

I was in New Orleans at a club and we were smoking pot in the VIP. A cop in uniform with a gun walked in. My friends and I being from out of town got nervous and tried to hide the blunt. We looked at the other people in the room with us and they said it was OK, Then the cop said it was ok. His exact words were, "I dont care what ya'll do in here. I'm getting paid to be here."

if i signed a lease with someone and we qualified for it on my income alone, being that she was non employed at the time that we signed the lease. Can the lease be voided, 4 months into the lease now that she works, because technically we would overqualify for the apartment being that she now works.

I have a roomate and we share a one bedroom apartment together. When we signed the lease she wasn't working and it was just me paying the bills. When we signed the lease, she signed it as nonemployed. She works now and We now have our differences. We have eight months left in our lease and i do not want to live with her anymore, but both of our names are tied to the lease. Is there anything that i can do to get her out of the house, being that i paid the rent to the rental office for so long? Can the lease be legally voided now that she works? How can i get her out of my hair? i am in a situation that i do not want to be in anymore.

According to CNN News, Mary Cheney (Vice President Dick Cheney's younger daughter) is pregnant. As you may know, Ms. Cheney is a lesbian and is in a committed 15 year relationship with her partner Heather Poe.

Do you believe that this will affect the Bush administration's policy regarding homosexual rights, especially shared parental rights, or national adoption rights legislation?
