Perhaps, genetic experiments on humans were to be legalized or illegalized. Would you accept it or reject it? I am not joking in this question. Consider this research on opinions.

i would support it. i would rather they study humans than animals. humans would concent to the testings .. and the results would be 89% more accurate

Fact of the matter is, that research is currently being done on humans, for various reasons. If you look at it from a medical point of view, in controlled circumstances, experimentation can have useful results.
I am against experiences on humans for genetic purposes.
Okay, fine. The human race have cloned many animals over the past decade, and it has been successful. I applaud that, but humans should not try to play God.
My personal opinion, is that it should not be legalized.
It may go well for a couple of years, but somewhere along the line, some "super surgeon" will try to change the chromosomes to make a super human being.
I will reject it.

Experiments are going on at this minute. Humans have the right to accept or reject experiments on themselves, where as animals are subjected to the wants of the scientists. By doing so, mankind has made great strides in medical research. As long as humans are allowed to accept or decline these experiments on themselves, I'm all for it.

Gene therapy is being used. It is a tricky ethical delemma. Some genetic research is positive but there is a huge potential for abuse. It's an area where we should proceed with great caution but probably won't.

It comes down to WHY. In my opinion, we are not really ready for this technology on an intellectual or moral level. Personally, unless it was a medical requirement, I would most likely reject it.

Genetic 'experiments' is too broad a term for me to answer, but legitimate genetic improvement and advacement is good, if that's what you mean.
